The denture cleaner is certainly an interesting way to clean the keycaps.
I will be trying out the electronic putty and see how that goes.

Hi, so as I was scanning up newegg for my new PC and I came across this keyboard. Here is the keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823239028&cm_re=steelseries_apex-_-23-239-028-_-Product What made me question though is that it is refurbished. So I was wondering whether refurbished products sold have noticeable defects. I also wanted to ask if this is a good/decent keyboard for gaming/typing. I did not know whether to put this post here as this is a mechanical keyboard thread and I believe this is membrane ( I may be wrong ). Anyways thanks in advance. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ BTW I'm a noob at building PCs etc, trying to build my first one now ( and with the help of the computer building thread have got to this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wNxRgs ), I had not planned to buy keyboard till later on but the price caught my eye, and its not really a big investment I still plan on buying another keyboard in the future. And while my current keyboard still works the some of the keys does not register when pressed and so have to be pressed more than once

I had some trouble ordering the keyboard though because I wanted a Nordic Layout and the people at Corsair thought I had mis-ordered and made me confirm the purchase via live telephone chat. Keep in mind that if you do order a non-English layout keyboard, it might take a while to ship (mine came from Denmark according to the tracking). This may or may not invoke import taxes. Hopefully Swedish retailers will start listing it (it took some time before Devil's Canyon processors was listed), which should make everything easier. And even if not, Corsair will probably notice that I'm Swedish when ordering a Nordic layout Yeah, I'm sure you'll be fine. I ordered mine from West Coast Canada so they were "considerate" enough not to process the order and accept payment before confirming it with me personally lol. Just curious, why did you want a Nordic layout? Did you move from the Nordic to Canada, or do you just like the Nordic layout better

Yes, it's a membrane keyboard with chiclet style keycaps for people who like how keyboards on laptops feel (or for people who like low profile keys). I am one of those people who have no issues buying refurbed electronics. My DSLR was refurbed, as was my second video card. I feel that refurbed electronics are pretty solid buys.

I'm currently using an Apex because I really, really like low-profile keys when it comes to writing longer texts and code and such (and it's a nice bonus feature that the SteelSeries engine allows you to launch programs with a single key press). It's decent for gaming as well, but personally I'm going to give mechanical keyboard a chance for gaming, since it really seems better overall compared to membrane.

Can't Autohotkey do that for anybody with any keyboard?

I am looking for a MX Browns keyboard that is tenkeyless and white does anyone have any recommendations?

My Zowie Celeritas keycaps are slowly having the paint worn off them. Do all keycaps have this problem? I'd consider buying a new set if there are some that don't, or maybe just blanks.

You are looking for laser etched keycaps.

I'm learning Norwegian as a hobby and am very serious about it I love Swedish (especially the music) as well but one thing at a time lol. Plus you can type SE on a NO layout too.
Snakker du norsk?

I think Zowie sells keycaps separately on their online store: http://www.zowiegear.dk/shop/zowie-gear-keyset-3258p.html

Hi guys,
As an employee of CM Storm I would like some feedback on our keyboard line-up. What do you guys think we are doing wrong? What are we doing right? Where can we improve?

As an employee of CM Storm I would like some feedback on our keyboard line-up. What do you guys think we are doing wrong? What are we doing right? Where can we improve? I have a tenkeyless stealth with blue keycaps, have had it for about a month. I have few problems with it so far, minor quibbles would include the relative difficulty I had with removing some of the larger keys such as the spacebar and shift key. The rubber pads on the bottom to stop the keyboard from sliding tend to attract dust and could be larger/more stable. It doesn't move while typing but I find it too easy to move still. Other than that I don't have any real problems unless durability ends up being a problem, but it's too soon to tell. Otherwise, i think you guys are solid at what you attempt to do- provide quality keyboards at a relatively cheap price. You hit that target "not a piece of shit but not too expensive either" market pretty well.
Ideally I'd wish your model with green switches were around the same price as your other keyboards but I suspect that has more to do with supply than anything you can really fix.

I want to buy a CM Storm Quickfire Rapid with MX Browns in US so I can have my cousin bring it to me at the end of July. With the release of Rapid-i, it has gotten really hard to find an available one. Any suggestions on a trusted seller from which I can send my cousin one without much hassle? Should I go with other sellers on Amazon? I don't want to end up with getting a Rapid-i...
