I did notice that if I'm pressing really slowly and carefully (intentionally so) I can feel that the tactile bump is not 100% precisely at the actuation point, but I don't think you can achieve that when you're not pressing very slowly. i don't really care if their quite or not since i play at like 300 apm most of the time anyway, a little more sound doesn't really matter.but where is the tacticle bump of? is it to high to low?

The bump is a tiny bit higher than the actuation point just like in blues.

i wonder how does it actually increase apm? (No one really holds down a button in starcraft 2 unless they are producing one type of unit in mass, even then it's not common), so how does the RTR technology help, at all? Thanks

Thanks I think its just adding a hardware way of upping the repeat rate, something you can do in windows. I have mine maxed in windows so I can virtually instantly use up all my larva.

Okay, but does it cause problems when you max the repeat rate, like double tapping ? what if you just want it to register once but since you up'd the repeat rate it registers twice.

Doesn't happen for me. You have to hold the key down for a little bit before it starts repeating. Just go to keyboard in control panel and max both sliders to try it yourself.

My board has MX Blues, which I believe would be a joy to type on all day. Anyone ever tried bringing one to work? Is it loud enough to piss off my coworkers?

I'm not in cubes though, it's just like 8 people in one office. Cubes might be far enough away that it's ok. You could just try bringing in a blue board and asking people if it's too annoying, do a sound check for them. Why even take the chance?

Brought my keyboard to work and nobody cared about the sound of blues, even when I asked. Most people aren't even going to think about the sound of your keyboard other than it sounds pretty much like any other keyboard. Typing on membrane switches makes sounds too.
