So yeah if anyone's knowledgable about the deck legends or ducky shines can you tell me their overall quality and if one is recommended over the other? I own both and I prefer the ducky. I prefer the ducky purely based on font and I feel it looks cleaner. Everything looks formal. Also, the ducky comes with some custom keycaps. The Deck is a good keyboard however.

Sorry to be skeptical after my blackwidow expirience, just I remember people with that also saying it was good, and then people that have had it for a few months would start talking about problems. But yeah if anyone knows and could give someone as uneducated in the subject as me a sort of scale of quality of boards involving brands like razer, steel series, ducky, das, filco I would greately appreciate it. But yeah right now ducky is the one I was looking at. They've had their ducky shines about nearly as long as I've had my filco TKL so that's close to a year by now. Razer generally doesn't have good build quality tbh. Steelseries I've heard mixed opinions. Some people love it, some say it has shoddy build quality as well. Can't say anything about Das cause no one I know owns one. Shipping costs make them real expensive to obtain where I'm from. Filcos are probably king. Can't go wrong with a filco if you want something to last. But I read you wanted backlit and that's something they don't offer. ![]()

Well that last two pages were discussing just that. Get a Ducky shine, but you are probably going to have to wait abit for the Ducky Shine 2 to come out unless you can find an old Shine. Its solid, brand has good reputation, comes with blue switches, right in your price range and has a huge variety of backlight colours.

There's no movement where there shouldn't be any, no matter what you do with it. In case of zombie apocalypse, I'd use this instead of a bat.

I was kinda leaning towards ducky, but finding out that they're basically all sold out due to the shine 2 coming out soon, but shine 2 not being out till about the end of september, and me not being able to stand using a cheap old membrane keyboard after having a black widow for about a year, I decided to just get the deck. I am a bit nervous though, while everything I hear about the deck is good, looking at the pictures it looks kinda ugly compared to the shine But oh well, I hear those things are made amazingly well and will survive everything short of being spilled on.Nice! Hope you like the clears, best cherry switch imo ![]()

FC700 are great, but to recommend something I need to know more of what you want from a keyboard. Do you want a numpad? Do you want backlighting? Do you want macro keys? And most importantly which switch do you want? Reds are in style at the moment but all switches are usable and there are pros using every kind of switch. But its all opinion, so read up on the switch types (OP is a good place to start). You can go into any computer store and try out blue switches on a Razer Blackwidow and some decent stores might have a few other switches they might let you try.

Well to just play starcraft,I'm currently using a dt-35 it's good and all, but the keys are kinda worn out and i didn't really like how it was planted up always. So i just wanted to try a mechanical one is all
