Something that really bums me out is that there is no mechanical keyboard with a headphone cord holder. By that i mean like a free space under the keyboard where your headphone cord can go under the keyboard so that you don't have to have your headphone cord go under the table for it to not be in the way when you type.

Like eihter a little channel under the keyboard where you can let the cord slip into or just some free space under that is high enough to let the cord go through without making the keyboard wobbly.

Is it even possible?

You can order online from here:

http://www.armygroup.com.tw/shop/goods-9705.html

This is the English (US) keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches. It will ship from Taiwan. The website is in Chinese. If you need help ordering (reading the site) I can help you. Just PM me.

Finally made the plunge and will be getting another Filco keyboard.

Gonna be using my TKL ninja with browns at work once my full-size camo arrives. Still brown switches. Tried out black, blue, and brown switches. But browns are still easily my faves.

And yes, I chose the camo because they have media keys. I just find them pretty convenient.

I'll finally no longer need to bring my keyboard with me to and from work/home.

Is there anywhere to go test out different mechs? I dunno whether I'd prefer Cherry MX Blacks or Reds, and I'd feel more confident about a purchase if I could go poke at one.

Preferably close to Manchester, UK.

My WASD custom keyboard just arrived! :D :D :D :D :D

Blank black keycaps with blue switches. Feels amazing as I'm typing this post right now on Team Liquid with my new keyboard.

Great feeling isn't it? This is the start of that epic period of time where you just want to type for the sake of typing.

hey guys,

does anyone know where i can get a quality tenkeyless with mx reds? currently it looks like i'm stuck ordering from the uk. (www.keyboardco.com). secondly, should i go filco, leopold, ducky? something else? does it matter? recommendations of a model would be awesome. thirdly, if there aren't any other cheaper options for shipping, does anyone have experience with these guys? are they reliable? how were customs/duty/fees? the reason i ask is that the courier is cheaper than the royal mail service, AND is super fast by comparison. seems a little sketchy (courier whacking me with fees at the door maybe?)

i live in alberta btw so it's a loooong trip.

cheers

Why are you stuck ordering from the UK? Google says you should be able to get keyboards from Elitekeyboards (US) or NCIX.

So you could get a Filco tenkeyless red from NCIX.
Thats a good choice, but expensive.

Ideally you would find a CM quickfire rapid with red switches because that would save you ~$50 and you would just have to put up with the CM logos.
But I don't know if they can be found in red in North America, but they do exist in Australia so have a hunt.

ah, my google-fu is weak. elitekeyboards isn't carrying them actually ( they're all out of stock except the white, and i don't like white boards). i'll check out NCIX and look for a CM. thanks a lot!

Also check out qutan's webshop, he ships from china worldwide. He has a Noppoo TKL that's probably a lot cheaper still. At least it was for me, ordering from the US resulted in 50$ shipping costs

Cost for mine was $100 + $30 customs, so beware.
