Check the temperatures (CPU and GPU) while running on high load (games and such). That should be a good indicator whether or not things are overheating.
what i mean is that it's blurry regardless of what i'm using. it's somewhat blurry now just running chrome and hwmonitor - that's just showing the cpu cores at high 60's, gpu at mid 30's.

The image can be a bit blurry if the resolution is set too low for the monitor and it has to interpolate. But that seems completely unrelated with any other issues. Can still check this quickly though.
Temperature of your CPU is on the high side, but not in the danger zone yet.

Use IDE to SATA converters or a IDE/SATA controller card. Both options aren't very expensive. You most likely have to play with slave and master jumpers.

Probably no real problem. Lots of people end up doing something like this (even with SATA drives!) and don't really notice any problems. Its still going to be slow because IDE drives are old.

How do i unblock the ads for twitch.tv? When I watched BW on justin.tv last time, the ads worked fine. But now when I watch SCII progamer streams on twitch.tv, other people get commercials, although I don't.
Or this might be because ads don't show for every region, but I doubt that that is the case.
edit: I use firefox, and don't have the adblock add-on.
So I think I accidentally pressed something and suddenly everything is bolded when I'm using Firefox and it's really annoying and I haven't been able to find how to turn this off <_<
