is your screen resolution tiny? it must be. unless it is some version of the G1 that has more than 400 dpi? there is no way to run starcraft at like 1920x1080 with a 400 dpi mouse and win speed 7 and sc2 52 and have it anywhere near fast.

My grip style is claw; as I found out after long usage with my old edition Mamba - it simply wasn't comfortable after long hours of use. My old mamba sensors are now failing on me as it regularly stops responding for periods (albeit short) at a time. I primarily only use the standard mouse buttons + the thumb buttons of the Mamba and would like to keep it that way. I don't mind more, but so far that's all I've adapted to. I have sweaty hands at times, and so prefer a soft matte feel. I live in Australia, so certain consumables such as the R.A.T 9 batteries are inaccessible for me. My list of possibilities: - G9x --> I've actually tried two and had to return both as the grip I wanted to use kept on initiating the side/thumb buttons (rough/coarse standard grip). I liked the feel of it though. - SteelSeries Sensei - Have heard good things about this mouse - Cyborg 7 - http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=24&bid=2&sid=96506 (My supplier of all computer products has this with the moniker MAC. Is this specific to Macs?) I like the idea of being essentially completely customizable. That said, I have heard this mouse is quite heavy, which is somewhat of a turn off. - Roccat Kone - Have heard of jittery sensors. Is this a common issue? - Corsair M60/M90 - different mice I know, but they both seem quite viable. The above 4 are my primary selection range, but the Corsairs I threw in there since they look like they would be quite comfortable and would do what I need it to do. I've really only used the Mamba in wired mode, since I kept on forgetting to charge it. I have no particular aversion to wireless. My DPI is set to 1200, and likely won't go up too much. Help guys! Going on what I've brought up above, I've recently settled for the RAT 7. The Sensei (given it's relative dimensions to the Mamba) and it's metallic finish would be unsuitable for my sweaty hands. The G9X was considered and would have probably been a purchase if it was in stock at the local store, but it wasn't and it will not be missed now. I bought the Razer Taipan due to many reports of it being comfortable for the claw/fingertip users. I returned it today due to it's poor design to my hand's grasp. It's ambidextrous design kept on digging into my ring finger and making it very uncomfortable to use. After many more hours of research, I settled for the RAT 7 and I am not looking back. So far, the most comfortable mouse to date. The only qualm I have is the poor software customization. But it's poor relatively speaking - it is still powerful enough to do what it needs to do. Just thought I'd post up some thoughts.

1. What's your grip style? Used claw on Xai and using it with mx518. 2. What's your sensitivity? Guess its medium? 1800DPI. 3. What's your maximum budget? <50€ preferred. 4. Do you want additional buttons? 2 thumb buttons would be nice. 5. What games do you play? SC2 mostly, some fps, mmo. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? Looking for a mouse with no angle snapping. 7. Other relevant information: Liked the ambidextreous shape of Xai instantly. Using a razer goliathus speed cloth map. Dont really care about if the mouse has drivers or software. Maybe the Zowie AM?

![]() I've had 0 problems with the mouse and im quite happy with it. Buttons didn't break and i've shown the mouse my rage a few times aswell and still working as new. I haven't dabbled with the settings too much cause i think using the same settings and just getting used to them is best (not any crazy settings though). Im using a SS QCK and it works a lot better than Razer Goliathus that i had before, havent tried any other mouse mats. The mouse fits my hand really well and my hand or wrist doesn't hurt even after a marathon session. My hand is quite small though so i could imagine that if you have a huge hand the mouse could possibly be too small for you.

So basically, are there any cheap comfortable and precise mice around 1800 dpi?

It's a fine mouse, but I only use 1800 dpi and the weights are just a gimmick that add the price up. I thought about the Zowie Mico, but I've always used palm grip so it would be risky. So basically, are there any cheap comfortable and precise mice around 1800 dpi? What about g400? Because if u used mx518 for five years it seems a good idea, in terms of shape. G400 is cheaper and lighter than g500 so it would be closer to what you're looking for no? If the g500 feels different than mx518 and bothers you, i don't really know what non-logitech mouse i could suggest x)

You might have trouble getting used to that one. Such a shame cause it does have a really nice shape too! You mention no acceleration but the Xai's sensor is notorious for it. If you like something like the MX518, the G400 might be for you. Sadly, I don't think there really are that many good ambidextrous mice on the market.

1. What's your grip style? Fingertip. 2. What's your sensitivity? 800 dpi. 3. What's your maximum budget? Would prefer about 50 euros or less, but can't be too selective I guess. 4. Do you want additional buttons? Not really, but I don't mind them either. 5. What games do you play? Starcraft 2. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? No angle snapping (this means acceleration, right?) 7. Other relevant information: Pretty much has to be ambidextrous, ergonomic just feels too uncomfortable for me. I would prefer optical mice since I've always used them and don't have any good experiences with lasers, but if you're sure the mouse is good then please do tell me. Also I use a soft mouse pad.

You probably wanna check out : - the steelseries Kinzu v2/v2 Pro - razer Abyssus - logitech g1/g100 (g100 is only available in korea, and ebay is the only way i found to get one) Having EXACTLY the same needs as you in terms of shape, grip, additionnal buttons and mouse pad, those are the mice that i was interested in when i was looking for mine. Although i might be forgetting some ^^

Budget less than $60 dollars. He's right handed, but symmetrical mouses are fine as well. He doesn't like it when the mouse button curve up (like in some of the Razer mouses), he prefers that they're sloped down. I'm not sure about optical vs laser, what are some big differences between these types of sensor? 2 additional buttons on the side, is a must have feature. He's using a 1920x1080 monitor, so I think like 2500 dpi is good enough? Or does it matter too heavily? He uses palm grip. Any suggestions off of these requirements?

Demicore says it all ![]() About laser vs optical, laser is supposed to track better, but people say it doesnt on cloth pads, and others that optical doesnt on hard pads, but its often due to some specific sensors. So not too much difference atm except the price :p

I love it! Feels great, tracks great, software setup was EZ (my parents would find it hard for the software-illiterate. . .) I noticed the gold USB and did a little XD I'm far from that fancy. Using 3300 DPI and I know that's pretty high. I can still use the mouse in windows at 8200, good for a laugh. I actually can still click a desktop icon in one try at that setting! Ergonomics for this mouse. . . It is super comfortable. And oh, how it glides! Can you tell it's my first high quality mouse? ![]() The old Dynex I was using goes to my work laptop. Because I use that in a truck and quality doesn't matter. Waiting on a TL goliathus, surprised the mouse beat it here.
