I'll be getting BST's mouse when it is released, though there should be plenty of benchmarks and reviews up before I get mine from the Beta Testers. Also the Sensei RAW is coming out this month, isn't that worth considering? I for one am anxious to pick up a used one from a disillusioned user later this year Yea the Raw should be out pretty soon too. I could mention others as well like the Sensei MLG edition which uses the new A9800 sensor, the Roccat Lua (A3050 maybe?), Logitech G600, as well as some others too.

Probably the best mouse i've used in a long time. Easily beats any of the razer/steelseries stuff i've tried. It's surprisingly comfortable despite being so small, and doesn't have any extra (useless, imo, that clutter up the beauty of the mouse) buttons or anything.
Actually, it reminds me a lot of the logitech mini optical, or whatever the name was.
For the record, the Razer/SteelSeries mice i've tried are as follows:
Razer:
Naga Abyssus Deathadder Spectre
SteelSeries:
Xai Kana Kinzu
So outside of those, maybe the Sensei/Lachesis/Imperator all blow the Mico out of the water for all I know, but yeah, Mico is amazing.
Maybe my hands are on the smaller side so it's easier for me to handle, I'm not sure, it's obviously not for everyone but to me it's perfect. Oh, and it also came in the mail with two sticks of Danish Jenka gum. Thank you, zowie!
That's because it is almost an exact copy of the mini optical. Can you confirm for us that you do or don't have the pixel jump bug that was present in some of the MiCO's when they first came out? This link should help if you've unfamiliar with what I'm talking about. Also I should just note to anyone who's looking for a new mouse that BST's mouse (MX300 shape) and the new Razer Taipan (Kana sized, or sooorta Krait sized? probably PTE but specs are weird) should be released in the next few months (Ouroboros idk when, photos were leaked, RAT copy basically) so keep your eyes peeled for these. I certainly haven't been having any problems like that, or any at all. Of course I only got it about half a week ago, anything could still happen.
It's also good to know that it's basically a complete clone of the mini optical, that's what I was looking for. Due to their rarity, a mini optical costs waaaay too much nowadays.

Need Suggestions for a mousing surface.
I've played on various forms of wooden desks for many years without a mouse pad, but my current desk is taking a beating (combination of sweat and use). I think its time I got a surface slightly more portable, sweat resistant, and consistent.
Would like something that mimics most aspects of a finished wooden surface. Maybe with slightly more feedback if it doesn't affect glide. Maybe.
high glide/low grip low/no feedback portable (can handle travel without needing to be baby sit, and smaller than a desk) thin multiple cheaper surfaces than buy 1 that I have to treat with extreme care. not affected by sweat
I'm not looking for a hard mouse pad necessarily, but if it's not "hard" it needs to have minimal to no koosh/give.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Mouse is Death Adder (optical)

High glide/low grip is pretty much something you'll find in hard pads so you'll probably have to go for one.
For portability, the Steelseries 3HD, 4HD come to mind. I've used the bigger 9HD before and didn't find any problems in terms of too much feedback. The mouse glided pretty silently compared to when I used the S&S.
Or you might wanna check out the Razer Scarab as that comes with a carrying case.Haven't tried it out though so I'm not sure about the feedback.
Or you can look into those hard/soft hybrids. Sadly, the Steelseries 5L is out of production. And that's the one that might fit your needs the best. It's basically a hard surface with a cloth layer on top so you get the smooth feel of a cloth pad with the sturdiness of a hard pad.

The Qpad CT is kinda the opposite of the SS 5L. It is essentially a soft pad , but the surface is some kind of hybrid with Hybratek coating. It feels a lot like a hard pad in terms of high speed/low grip, but is more comfortable.

BTW, seems like the Logitech G9/G9x without any grip slowly but steadily establishes itself as the most popular mouse among Korean pros.

What mouse is Oz from fnatic using right now at MLG? On the fnatic website it says he's using a ss sensei fnatic edition but.. it's obviously a different mouse he's using right now. I'm not an Oz fan though, but the mouse he's using caught my attention.

Oz, Parting, Squirtle, MarineKing, Mvp, and Jaedong all use a Logitech G9x without shell.

Polt, Ganzi, Heart, MMA, AcE and Symbol too.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this problem has been covered already.
I'm on my second mouse right now. First was a wireless Logitech MX Anywhere, second was wired a Zowie EC1.
Both of these mice I have used for roughly 6 months but are now unsuitable because they have a high rate of either not registering a click, or double clicking in response to a single click.
I consider myself a heavy gamer, roughly 6-8 hrs a day everyday, lots of clicking.
Is this just bad luck for me or a common phenomena?

Am i the only person who legitimately plays at 270-800dpi at 1920x1080 with no acceleration? WTF 8200, is that actuly at all useful for anything? Im on a 2-screen setup right now @670 and that is high end for me
Sweet though, it seems to have some kind of grip on the sides, unlike the deathadder which is made almost entirely out of a shiny slippery plastic that must have lost me 20 or 30 games last season

The shape looks intriguing and it's pretty light the way I want my mice.
I might consider getting this just to try it out.

Yeah I really like the design, I much prefer the more tapered front over the Abyssus. But being that it's got a 8200CPI dual laser and optical sensors, I'm sure it's going to cost about 10 grand

Here is my old mouse. As you can see, its been err... well loved. Paint's been rubbed off in several places, and I've worn through the rubber on both sides. I think that's about 5 years of Brood War and other video games on it.
I'm not quite sure what kind of mouse it is (past that its Logitech) because I've worn off a lot of the paint and stuff, but its similar to a Logitech Wireless Mouse M505. Anyways, if anyone can figure out what model my mouse is, I'd be really grateful.
So yeah, I'm looking for a new mouse. I'm looking to buy something that's similar to what I have now -- small, wireless, pretty basic, and will last me through college at least. My budget is about twenty bucks or less. Thanks in advance.

Everything under $35 is pretty much going to be all exactly the same. Go to the store and buy whatever looks/feels good.

So my Deathadder just died. Out of the blue. And I had a faliure just like that on my prior Deathadder, so I'm not getting another one. But I still love Razer products. I found a Diamondback 3G on a local store which has gone unselled for quite some time, as the store manager told me, because "nobody gives a fuck about old mice anymore".
Is it as good as the reviews paint it? I mean, it seems to be better than current mices even. And since TL is such a nice place and people are so tech-savvy, why not ask? Does anybody have a Diamondback 3G? How has your experience with this mouse been?

My brother has that mouse, and I have the deathadder. I have used his quite a bit, and in my opinion it is not as good as the deathadder. This is of course dependant on personal habbit and size of hand etc., but the buttons on the side are not as good to use, and it is just a bit too small in.
But I can absolutely see why my brother likes it, I guess i'm just too used to the deathadder

That is a Logitech V450. I have one. Nice mouse. The new version of it is indeed the M505. The only real difference is that the new version has a tiny USB connector.
Edit: That new Razer mouse looks interesting. I quite like ambidextrous mice, but I doubt that thing could tear me away from my beloved G1.
