Also, one more question-- has anyone used a Razer Salmosa? I stumbled upon it today, and it looks kinda nice. Razer doesn't sell them anymore, but I could probably find one on Ebay or Amazon. I'm not sure if it will work with a mac though....

![]() Are there any mice like it (i.e. shaped for righties instead of ambidextrous, ambidextrous mice now feel really weird lol) but smaller I guess? Thanks in advance. Definitely won't be looking to switch for a while, though, got it only half a year ago.

I have a mouse of 6~ years that I really love, but it's quite light and I'm interested in trying out something with more weight to it. Specifically I want to uniformly add weight so as to keep the current balance as well as keep all modifications internal. It depends entirely on the mouse, which one is it?

The rubberized Razer coating on this mouse has worn off in patches and makes the mouse look (and feel) permanently dirty. My other issue is that the mouse is a bit too narrow for my hand. One thing I'd like to get some feedback on is the finish of the Sensei. I've seen reviewers commenting that the silver paint looks like it will wear off and end up looking nasty, which is one of my main issues with my current mouse. If this is the case, then I'd probably avoid it. What about the Sensei RAW? The glossy one looks like it would be a bit tricky to keep smudge free (that kind of thing does bother me as I try to keep my setup as clean as possible at all times) and I'm worried that the rubberized one may end up like my Razer mouse? So I guess my question is more open to feedback from people who have any mouse with a rubberized finish, not necessarily just the SS Sensei, although any opinions on that specific mouse would be welcome. (I'm also wondering if Steelseries have improved their drivers/software to make it a bit easier to use, but this isn't my main concern) As I haven't totally settled on a mouse yet, I'll fill out the questionnaire here too: + Show Spoiler [The Questionnaire] + 1. What's your grip style? fingertip/claw hybrid 2. What's your sensitivity? I'd say medium-high. However, I've been bringing it down steadily in FPS games just to get a bit more used to that. 3. What's your maximum budget? Max £80 (flexible) 4. Do you want additional buttons? I would prefer to have the four side buttons (two on each side) that I'm now used to on the Diamondback 3G. Any more would be a bonus. At minimum, I would settle for just 2 on the left side, if everything else on the mouse was perfect for me. 5. What games do you play? A bit of everything, with most emphasis on RTS and FPS. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? I'd rather avoid it, if possible. 7. Other relevant information: I have quite large hands, but I prefer a fingertip/claw grip, so there's some wiggle-room on mouse size. As an example, however, I find the Diamondback 3g, that I currently use, to be a tiny bit too narrow. I'm basically looking for a simple, reliable mouse that will allow me to play most genres of game comfortably, with no conflicts in setting up extra buttons on occasion. I don't really care about lights or flashy colours.

The problem I see with the G400, even though it is cheaper, seems to be more robust and not suffer from the sudden death of razer products, is that the thumb has its own place to rest. Doing this however, I cannot touch the mouse pad with it and it kind of screws up my grip. It might be nothing though and I actually like it more. Unfortunately, I have no way to test either mouse (have to order them online) since there is no store in my area that offers either. Should I order the G400 and give it a try or rather use the Razer Deathadder which I suppose is very similar to the Razer Naga? Thanks!!

I'd still be using mine if I didn't like the Imperator's grip better. (I believe the Imperator has the same grip as the G400)

My current mouse (link to site): Lexma M540 Laser mouse (manufacturers site) I don't like Razer mice for only opne reason, in fact I don't like a lot of mice that say they are OK for fingertip grip, as I find nearly all of them are fairly long in size, as they try to design the mouse to also work for claw and palm, and as such I find the mouse in my palm when I don't want to palm grip it. the Mico seems to me to be the only one I can find that actually is small, light, and designed specifically and only for fingertip grip. I've tried Razer (can't recall model) and TT esports black. The ttesports was enormous (palm/claw grip) and heavy. I hated it and I gave it to a friend after using it for a day. I've purchased and tossed at least 5 mice. Its getting expensive experimenting. Problem, everywher for the Mico in Canada is sold out of anything but pink in colour,. and I am seriously considering buying it and painting it if I have to. So, I am looking for a valid alternative to the Mico - a nice small mouse for fingertip grip. 1. What'S your grip style? Fingertip 2. What's your sensitivity? on the higher side of average, don't know exact number because I don't know what dps my Lexma M540 Laser is at. 3. What's your maximum budget? unlimited for a quality product. 4. Do you Want additional buttons? no. Left, Right, and 3rd on scroll wheel. 5. What games do you play? RTS - SC2 primarily. other games for recreation. No FPS. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? unknown. 7. Other relevant information: Must be wired, prefer smaller lighter mouse for fingertip grip PLEASE! OPTIONS! Save my mouse hand! Thanks!

You could also try the G9x without either of the grips.

Actually, it reminds me a lot of the logitech mini optical, or whatever the name was. For the record, the Razer/SteelSeries mice i've tried are as follows: Razer: Naga Abyssus Deathadder Spectre SteelSeries: Xai Kana Kinzu So outside of those, maybe the Sensei/Lachesis/Imperator all blow the Mico out of the water for all I know, but yeah, Mico is amazing. Maybe my hands are on the smaller side so it's easier for me to handle, I'm not sure, it's obviously not for everyone but to me it's perfect. Oh, and it also came in the mail with two sticks of Danish Jenka gum. Thank you, zowie!

Easily beats any of the razer/steelseries stuff i've tried. It's surprisingly comfortable despite being so small, and doesn't have any extra (useless, imo, that clutter up the beauty of the mouse) buttons or anything. That's because it is almost an exact copy of the mini optical. ![]() Also I should just note to anyone who's looking for a new mouse that BST's mouse (MX300 shape) and the new Razer Taipan (Kana sized, or sooorta Krait sized? probably PTE but specs are weird) should be released in the next few months (Ouroboros idk when, photos were leaked, RAT copy basically) so keep your eyes peeled for these. I'll be getting BST's mouse when it is released, though there should be plenty of benchmarks and reviews up before I get mine from the Beta Testers.

Also the Sensei RAW is coming out this month, isn't that worth considering? I for one am anxious to pick up a used one from a disillusioned user later this year ![]()
