No, this doesn't make sense. If your fingers are cured inwards (like a claw) then that's a claw grip.

For a claw grip mouse and someone with smaller hands I would say you should take a look at the Razer Orochi, CM Inferno, Tt Azures Mini, and Roccat Pyra

Hmmm, dont i feel stupid now lol. The orochi and Pyra are both wireless tho, and id like to stay away from wireless, im currently using a wireless X8, and kind of fed up with it. Not really into the shape of the Inferno, the Azures mini looks promising, looking into it right now. What are peoples thoughts the Logitech mice? like the g400 and g9x? reviews seem preety mixed. Even though IMMVP uses a g9x, i wonder if hes changed settings through software or something since the G9x is known for having acceleration.

Hi, I own a Razer Mamba (Not 2012 Edition), finger tip grip (i think?), though the back of the mouse reaches the base of my palm/beginning of my wrist because the mouse is pretty big for my [glove size] 18cm hands. I alternate between wireless and wired for this mouse and find it to be a very useful and nice functionality that the Mamba (and honestly it's the only real function that separates the two ^^ )

Don't worry I didn't actually spend 130 on this mouse on release ( I really hate jumping on products ) I got a good chunk of it for discount, and for 30$ it's a fantastic mouse had to turn it in for a broken sensor (mouse cursor no movement) after 9 months, but Razer support is good to me, and they had me return it (1yr warranty I guess?) and the one I'm using now currently has no flaws. Using the exactmat Control side - [though I'm not fond of spending on surfaces, after spending a few years with this, I'm just wowed by when I play on anything else], it feels nice.

+ Show Spoiler +
I don't know if it's just me or standard but the mouse surface sometimes feels gritty??? It currently is moving smooth as silk, but I've had days where it feels like there's dust on it, which it probably is.

The mouse feels slightly less tall as the deathadder, it might be a mindgame, I've used both extensively, and I somewhat prefer the Mamba better. It might be the lack of the ever-present cord tug/push, wows.

I run it at 1800dpi, or 1200 on the second lowest setting.

The feet are DUST MAGNETS oh my god don't even get me started haha, it's not a big deal function-wise, but it's a turn off, since this mouse retails at what, 100 dollars or more? x_x I'd like a mouse whose feet aren't covered in grey.

G5 old edition: I used that before the Deathadder. The mouse after a long time I realized was too big for me (height-wise), and the wheel was actually just awful, clicking loudly every click and not feeling soft at all (compare to deathadder, fantastic feeling wheel in my opinion ofc) but it has the advantage of sideways scrolling. And the other two razer mice do not have that. Fantastic mouse, would recommend the G400 as well, I suggested it to my friend, loves it. The customizable weights are sick, I've wanted a G700 for a bit, but I'm satisfied with a Mamba.
The G5 lasts forever, G500 shouldn't be any different. But the G400's cheaper, and I feel most people won't need teh weight adjustments, so I figure it's a better overall suggestion big logitech mice (wired). G700 is solid as well for a wireless, it looks more like the MX Revolution now (ANOTHER hot mouse), which I personally like.

But for 130$, satisfied wouldn't be enough. 60$ was a good price for the G500. G400, being cheaper (40$ or less). I don't feel comfortable recommending it for its ridiculous price. Deathadder I've recommended always otherwise. It never had the dust problem, DPI past 2000 is irrelevant to me, and wireless isn't a big deal for many.

If you're a claw grip style person, get the CM Storm Spawn. Really comfortable and it's perfect for someone who uses claw-grip.

Yeah im actually leaning preety heavily toward it as well, i like the shape, sensor seems preety good as well, was looking real hard at the G9x as well, but as mentioned before the sensor, much like the Sensei has positive acceleration, which i really want to stay away from, id rather have prediction than accel., but rather have neither. Was also looking at the G400, but its more of a Palm style, so looks like it might be the Spawn after all. Will keep looking at reviews and numbers and such, if anyone has any other suggestions for a good 800-1000 DPI, claw style mouse. let me know!

Is there any good Razer mouse that have internal drivers ? Played in open bracket of MLG this weekend and it was very tough to use my death adder since I couldn't install the drivers and get to the settings screen. I know the steelseries sensei has a feature like this.

The Imperator has onboard memory that stores its settings. If you want to change them, however, I'm pretty sure you need to install the drivers from an external source.

Hope you had fun at MLG regardless

no I didnt but everything was pretty rushed and when I put my USB disk in the computer was locked so that I couldnt even access the flash drive at all (tried on multiple computers)... seemed like everyone else just plugged and played so looking for a mouse I could do that with

any Deathadder fans tried the sensei and thought it was comparable ergonomically and comfort wise ?

I've been using the Zowie Mico for almost a week now and it is an awesome mouse. I was looking for a simple 3 button mouse with high DPI for SC2 and it was perfect for what I was looking for.

I've used the Intellimouse 3.0, Logitech MX518, Deathadder, and Abyssus and the Mico edges out the Abyssus slightly for my favorite.

MLG rules pretty clearly state that any specific drivers you need must be sent in like a week in advance.

Problem with Steel Series mice is the built in acceleration, probably not what you want for pro-RTS play. Sensei is also a bit smaller than the death adder and is a full ambidextrous design with quite a sharp taper on the front so you may not find it very similar.

Anyway, as Madrid said you should look into Zowie mice, supposedly they are able to do 1000htz polling and like 1000/1500 DPI switching without any drivers at all. I would suggest you check out the Zowie EC1 and EC2.

As far as I am aware, none of them have acceleration or angle snapping/drift control.

I don't know about acceleration (I would imagine it doesn't being a 20 pin Avago 30xx), but the A3060 does have angle snapping, much like the 3080 from what I understand.

@ToguRo and Eehantiming,

I'd suggest taking a look at the Mionix Naos 3200. If 800 or 1600 DPI is a good setting for you, it's a fantastic mouse. Perhaps not quite as long as the Deathadder, but soo comfy to use. No acceleration. Technically some prediction, but very little if you set the polling rate to 1000mhz. (See OP for more on that.)

Even though IMMVP uses a g9x, i wonder if hes changed settings through software or something since the G9x is known for having acceleration.

Can't you use the Orochi wired and without the battery inside? Also, the Pyra has two versions, and comes either as a wireless or wired mouse. I have the wired version for example. Regarding the G400 and G9x, if the X8 is too big, the G400 is probably not going to feel much better as it's mid-large size mouse. The G9x does have some annoying flaws, but if you are a high sens player who uses a hard mousepad, you might not ever notice those flaws. Then again, you could be pretty sensitive and notice it immediately.

I have a sensei and I think those worried about the acceleration issue probably wouldn't even notice it in use. Personally I have a hard time noticing it even when i try to test for it in shooters. It's there, but man it's so little. I've used other mice with acceleration and it was clear as day, but not with the sensei. Then again, i guess what mouse pad you use probably effects it. Harder the better it seems. I use a 4HD.

Well after spending a whole week readin up on mice, wasting away my nights after work trying to figure this shit out. I think imma just get the G9x, sure it has some postive acceleration like the Sensei since they are the same sensor, i think its a good sensor, and since i will be buying the 4HD or 9HD hard plastic pad, it should track well, and i like the form factor as well. So if anyone knows why i shouldnt get the G9x, speak now or forever hold your peace!!! Note: im only ordering like the 28th or something, still a few days to keep on studying up. But frankly, every mouse ive looked at this week, which is probly like 30 different mice, all have some minor or serious flaws, and since my boy IMMVP, and i think Polt and MKP all use the g9x as well, it cant be half bad right!!!??

The G9x is a pretty heavy mouse.
