I was wondering if investing in one would help with the wrist discomfort I've been having. Any suggestions on pads that are made for comfort?. Seems simple enough but all these companies have 100 different mouse pads and they seem to be the same lol.
Best thing to do would be to adjust where your wrist rests so it isn't pressuring nerves. I bought a mousepad with a wrist-rest thingy after I started having pains in my wrist and it ended up making it worse (the mousepad in question was a Razer Vespula). So I just went back to my QCK and adjusted how I positioned my wrist and the issue disappeared.
Though I would hazard against getting a QCK. I don't know if it's just my bad luck but I'm on my second QCK and the cloth edges have rolled up off the pad after about 6 months both times so I would spin the pad and it would happen again on a different edge a few months later. So I took the opportunity to buy the TL Goliathus to see how that lasts. It seems like the edges of the pad are different than the QCK so hopefully it will last longer.
Im looking for a way to use mouse 5 on a deathadder to increase mouse sensitivity while held down (for making 180 turns in tribes etc while playing super low sens) but im not sure how to go about doing it, because the DPI toggles make the mouse stop tracking for 1-2 seconds (which is unacceptable) i was thinking of using the on-the-fly sensitivity system, but it would be extremely difficult to scroll up/down between ex 0.2 sensitivity (with 5x in-game to compensate) and 1.0 in 0.05 increments every time i wanted to make a split second turn, so i was looking for a convenient way to temporarily *2-5 mouse sensitivity while i was holding down mouse 5, maybe an autohotkey macro or something?
If anyone has a solution or can help please pm me, thanks
I currently own a Mamba 2012 edition and I have some troubles with it. I previously own a death adder and i pretty much find it as a perfect mouse but my dad insisted and bought me a mamba for my birthday. I liked the DA more but i feel sorry for my father so I sold it and I use the Mamba now. The problem is the sensor of the mamba kinda slows down and sometimes it has a "choppy' like effect on the cursor and stops.I use only low DPI (1500) so I think it is not the problem. It is really irritating and sometimes the cursor even "jumps".(sorry I don't know the term). This does not happen to my other mouses and I even re-installed the drivers. So I want to ask if any of you guys are experiencing this problem so that if ever I can bring the Mamba back to the store ASAP.

Deathadder sensor is superior, mamba just has wireless mode, extra buttons and probably some other gimmicky overpriced stuff. Im pretty sure issues with the twin eye sensor are extremely common.
also, 1500dpi isnt really low i think, just maybe a little below average

Yeah, Mamba is using the Phillips Twin Eye sensor which has widely reported issues with the cursor "jumping" when the mouse is lifted off and set back down.
It's possible that the other issues could be caused by poor wireless conectivity if that's what you are using. If you have the reciever behind your PC or under your desk this can in some situations even cause problems for Bluetooth.
I've been using the DA for over a year now, but I need a smaller mouse. I've narrowed it down to:
CM storm spawn kinzu v2 pro logitech g9x
I have tried the abyssus, and while I like it more than the DA for RTS because it's smaller and lighter, i'm not completely satisfied with its shape(it encourages flattening out the index and middle finger).
I can buy(and return) the g9x locally, but the other 2 are unavailable in my area(canada). Does anyone know of a place online where I can buy kinzu or spawn and return without paying a hefty amount? It's all down to which of the 3 are most comfortable for my claw grip.
Edit* to add the tidbit from this video: worries me a little. I'm not familiar with the technical jargon or how applicable these tests are for real use but if I've been "spoiled" by the DA's wonderful sensor will the inconsistencies be noticeable with say the g9x as in the video?

ncix and canadacomputers carry these in GVA/GTA, not sure about other places.
the abyssus, the mouse has a little slope on the sides of the buttons that i rest my ring finger on which allows me to claw grip the mouse.
the spawn, there is a 'dedicated' rest for the ring finger, but it feels more like an oldschool three-button mouse to me because that rest is flat rather than angled so its not really a true claw grip. that is, a claw grip with the pinky finger?
the steelseries mice i have never liked because the shape is mostly palm grip and reducing or enlarging the shape doesnt really change the fact.
the g9x is okay, not perfect, but way overpriced considering other options.
note these are all my personal experiences and your feel and opinion may be completely different

It's interesting that you would choose three mice with different grip styles. CM Spawn and G9x are ergonomic mice designed to conform to your hand, while the Kinzu's design is ambidextrous and small very similar to the abyssus you were talking about.

Reduce mouse lag deals with frame buffers, wont do anything with jumping etc.
I dont know why one would want a mouse smaller than the deathadder, it is far too small for me and i frequently enough loose grip on it and throw it halfway across the room playing low sens because of that >.>

He said he's had problems with the mouse cursor both jumping and being choppy/laggy. The jumping is probably due to the sensor, the choppy/lagginess could be a number of things.
Well guys im seriously at a loss right now on what mouse im going to buy. After narrowing down to a few, they all seem to have some issues that im not sure if i can get past. Fingertip user btw.
Sensei : I feel like its a good option (positive acceleration aside), but its the same length as my Sidewinder X8, which im starting to hate, its just too long for my fingertip style grip.
Kinzu V2 : Size i think would be ok, its smaller then the other steelseries mice, but apprently uses the pixart sensor as well if im not mistaken.
Also looke at the G9x, but meh, looks awful aesthetically, and i think theres a decent amount of prediction and acceleration.
Any info, or more suggestions would be awesome right now, ive spent the passed 5 days, every hour i have after work, trying to decide on a mouse, and theres just more and more issues with every mouse i wanted. So, if anyone has a good fingertip, 800 DPI mouse with a 9HD pad, let me know! i need suggestions badly! thanks people!

rebuffering: yeah just about every single mouse on the market right now has some kind of flaws. If you're looking for a "perfect" gaming mouse, you better start designing your own prototype.
I would suggest you start by figuring out what design style and size you would prefer, most people have a preference between an ampidestrous design over an egonomic one, or maybe you have very large or very small hands and would rule out certain mice? You should also define how much money you are willing to spend maximum. Those should narrow things down significantly.
From there you can consider things like acceleration, angle snapping/driftcontrol, and max DPI/CPI.

Well the last 2 pages i did define what i was looking for, i suppose i should re post that info lol i feel like im spamming or something.
1. What's your grip style?
Claw/Fingertip if that makes any sense? Its preety much just my fingertips touching the mouse, palm is not touching at all, fingers are curved like claw style.
2. What's your sensitivity?
1000 DPI, willing to go to 800 if its worth it.
3. What's your maximum budget?
Anything!
4. Do you want additional buttons?
Not really, as i have no use for added buttons for SC2. although the 2 thumb buttons on my X8 are nice for surfing the Web, but really not necessarry.
5. What games do you play?
SC2 all the way! some FPS and the usual AAA titles, Mass Effect/Skyrim, or any new games that come out, i will play, but SC2 is all i care about in terms of a mouse.
6. Do you want angle snapping?
Id rather not.
And yes, i know theres no perfect mouse out there lol. So i guess, the easiest question would be, what is the mouse with the least amount of problems or flaws. I feel like the Sensei doesnt have to many problems, mainly the positive accel. and the fact thats its kind of big for a fingertip grip. And to what end will pixel skipping hurt me playing sc2? i feel like i would have already bought a Mico or something, if it wasnt for the Pixart sensor. anyways thanks folks. Gunna eat super, be back!

No, this doesn't make sense. If your fingers are cured inwards (like a claw) then that's a claw grip.
For a claw grip mouse and someone with smaller hands I would say you should take a look at the Razer Orochi, CM Inferno, Tt Azures Mini, and Roccat Pyra
