Been using the xm1r for a while now, as far as wired mice go, it's definitely one of the best, but the cable has been bugging me and decided I just have no excuse not to go wireless now that there are various options that honestly don't cost too much (sub 100).

Keeping an eye on the Xenics Titan GX Air Wireless but getting it imported will be a hassle. The G Wolves Hati-S Ace Wireless with the 3370 sensor is likely to be my new mouse in the near future.

The Ninjutso Origin One X (cringe name) is based on the intelli 3.0 but smaller, but with the sensor they're using I'm a bit reluctant to give it a try. High LOD. I'm sure they'll fix it eventually through firmware updates but who knows when that'll be.

The GameSense MVP Wireless has a safe shape and definitely a solid option on the market too.

Then there's still the glorious model O wireless which is also sub 100.

Definitely a couple of solid options out on the market now (or on its way) that don't cost as much as the G Pro Wireless SuperLight and the Razer Viper Wireless (both 140+) while basically providing similar performances. The SteelSeries Prime Wireless also has a pretty hefty pricetag to it but not like the 2 aforementioned.

Wired mice will definitely be on the decline from now on with wireless options expanding while not having a ridiculous pricetag on them anymore except for the GPX, the Viper Wireless and the SteelSeries Prime Wireless.
Morning opens wide before us like a door into the light. Just beyond, the day lies waiting ready to throw off the night, and we stand upon its threshold poised to turn and take its flight.

Hamsters are awesome now, probably won't use a "mouse" again

Yeah, we have legit <=60 gram hamsters in operational configuration even with large, strong bodies and no holes. There are diminishing returns to reducing weight and i don't see anything really a lot better than this.

There are light mice but the cable is much more of a problem than the difference between 30g and 60g.

There are light tiny shells as well, but the small size (and increased difficulty of applying force to it) is again more of a problem than the mass.

The g305 has a sensor problem that causes the cursor to jump sometimes, that's what pushed me onto the GPW. I know there are other cheaper options nowadays though.

hello mouse wizards, I've been using steelseries sensei raw for many years now but its breaking after many years and I am thinking about buying something, my budget is flexible, I dont want to overpay or get the most expensive thing out there but if there is something amazing worth it then I can make it I think I am ex counter strike pro but nowadays I play competetive battlerite/ lol, basically simplicity and performance, sensor quality are the most important things for me, additional buttons are irrelevant, I like wires but if wireless mouses are as good as wired ones nowadays I wouldnt mind wireless, I have pretty big hand not a huge one but small mouse like steelseries sensei raw works very well for me so I am looking for something similar, do you have any good recommendations if performance for competetive playing is the most sought out quality for me? (second being good grip and sturdy solid feeling construction)

Sorry about the slight necro, but I simply have to vent, after realising I have to replace my shitty mouse again and then reading this post.

I too used to have one of the first generation steelseries sensei. wonderful mouse. relatively cheap, I like the simple shape. would highly recommend. Then, after over 8 years, the left mousebutton started making problems and my dumb ass messed up the repair.
So I had to get a new one and thought 'hey, the steelseries sensei ten looks pretty much like the original sensei. surely there nothing can go wrong with just buying this one'. Man was I wrong. All the engineering power for the steelseries sensei ten seems to have gone into 'how can we take the original steelseries design, change pretty much nothing, but fuck up the build quality beyond all reasons'. Not even a year into owning the piece of shit and I am about to have to ask for a replacement for the third time because the mousewheel keeps breaking (it will randomly scroll into the wrong direction and feels a lot flimsier than when I got the mouse). I know 2 more people who have / had the exact same issue. As I am mentioned, I am currently on my 2nd replacement model, once again the scrollwheel broke in the exact same way, one of the sidebuttons feels weirdly loose as well. I don't even use the scrollwheel that much, I don't want to know how fast this thing breaks when it gets actually used. This time I definitely won't go for the replacement and instead ask for my money back.

I hate having spend money on this, I hate having to once again search for a replacement...

TLDR: If you are thinking about getting a Steelseries Sensei Ten, don't do it. Its an absolute pos and the scrollwheel is most likely going to break after less than half a year, even when only under moderate use.

I can't recommend the G Pro Wireless Superlight enough, it's expensive but a transformative experience with no corners cut.

The regular G Pro Wireless was already excellent but it had a couple of reliability issues which came up after it had been out for a while. The main one was that the left click would double click - i think this was related to static electricity from humidity being <=35%, while it was tested in a climate controlled environment.

That was fixed along with improvements like shedding weight and improving the glide on the Superlight. SL has been out 18 months now and mine is working as well as day 1.

It has a similar shape to the Sensei and 1.5x less weight despite having no cable and a great center of mass.

Thanks I'll check it out. Not a huge fan of very light mice though since I play on higher sense. The shape looks promising though, so fingers crossed.

First i heard of it, looks like a Razer version of the GPW SL though and i don't see any real differences or advantages either way on paper. Could be similarly promising and i'm glad to see more options again.

Other than >1000hz polling (which is a niche only really relevant for >=360hz monitor users) it's hard to imagine much improvement from here.

Being £30 instead of £130 would also be great, but if you care deeply about mouse performance/comfort and use it for 10,000 hours then that price tag won't stop you right now; it's mainly a huge barrier for more casual users.

If you're on the lookout for a wireless mouse, wait for the xm2w (basically a wireless xm1r which by far is the best wired mouse I've ever used). It'll come out Q3 this year.

Using a Logitech superlight which is still in a very good shape so I might wait 'til something happens to it before I buy the xm2w, which I know I'll prefer over anything else on the market. The xm2w will be slightly cheaper than the Viper wireless and the SuperLight etc.. which is a bonus.

Always prefered their Kaihl switches over Huano's and Omrons.

That doesn't look worth waiting for IMO. Subjectively different switches and shape, but a GPW SL clone at its core. You also can't say for sure in advance that almost any product will have proper latency etc so it's something that i'm very skeptical of with new companies making especially wireless products.

It's also the same price as the GPW SL (UK).
