There are a few options worth considering.

Logitech G502: Basically the most ergonomic mouse in the world and has great quality and performance for a reasonable price.

Razer Deathadder: Mad Speccs and great ergonomics

Logitech G Pro - Fantastic sensor and generally optimized gaming speccs

Zowie BenQ EC-2A - One of the best overall gaming mice for competitive use.

Lastly, the G902 is prob the best wireless mouse on the market and worth mentioning, even though I don't personally like wireless options.

Now I see a lot of articles also recommend the G402 from Logitech but I don't think its worth considering (personally) just because the G502 is not that much more expensive but better in every way.

502 has more buttons which might not be wanted and it weighs significantly more on an already moderately heavy mouse

i detest additional buttons than the standard 3 (mouse wheel). i originally wanted to get the 100s because i liked it when they were hot at pc bangs but nowadays everyone talks about the 102 so much. the mouse design seems like it would be something im comfortable with but i dont want to be inconvenienced by pressing the side buttons. any other reasons to get 102 over 100s?

I recently found a logitech BJ-58 barely used. I play BW and it actually feels great! Now its super old so its sensor isnt quite as snappy feeling compared to the new logitech mouse, but it works perfectly fine. The feeling is perfect, it fits my larger hands just right where I can half palm, half claw it. Its light as well. Wondering if anyone else had experience with it. A few weeks in and I am super impressed with this old gem.

So I have 3 DAs and some other Razer mouse, that has no third and fourth mouse button. The DAs are like all kinds of different generation. Every single Razer mouse developed a doubleclick issue for me, where you click once, but 2 click register. So about 3 years ago I switched to a Roccat Kone Pure, which developed a double click issue after about 2 years. I haven't opened any of the mice, but I read that they all use the same switches from china and they are constructed in a way that this issue is very likely to develope.

So I found an AHK script, called buggymouse that fixes the issue on a software level. I used the compiled version for around 2 weeks, while it fixes the problem, the program just crashed and while it does not feel as frustrating to lose a match because you crash to desktop instead of constantly accidentally selecting all units instead of one, I wish there was a company that makes their own switches for the buttons. Now I am using the non-compiled version of the script. I hope this won't crash.

I hate both software that comes with Razer and Roccat, while Razer Software is so aggressively bad, that it actually deterred me from buying my fourth DA. I like to install that software once, set up my mouse and then reinstall windows to get rid of it xD.
For the actual design. I love DAs, I love the Kone pure even more, because I have really small hands, the "pure" is because it is a special edition, with a different sensor, which feels way better to use for me.

Hey just saw this. They don't get in the way or bother me at all, my thumb rests underneath them. They are easy to hit when you need to, I use them for push to talk mostly.

Reasons to get the 102 over the 100s are fairly small, they're both good mice. For me I prefer the build quality of the 102, the 100s feels and looks cheap. While it's not an issue in game, it always kind of bothered me. The 102 is built a lot better, and feels like it weighs a decent amount more, but apparently it doesn't. 102 is a very good looking mouse. The buttons on the 102 feel a lot nicer. Nicest buttons on a mouse I've used. You'll understand if you try one. Very sharp and responsive. Cord was better on 100s, thinner and lighter. Not a huge issue. Sensor is better on 102, or at least that's what people tell me. Most are so good nowadays you can't tell them apart in real world use. That's about it for me. Ask if you have any more questions.

I got a G203. It's light, simple and does the job if what you care about is left click, right click and great mouse sensor. It's basically a half price logitech pro. I've had it for a year now so I can't say much about its durability.

Apparently the new G Pro is being remodeled, it's gonna be the same size as an FK now. Looks like the perfect mouse for me.

Ooh, that was the first i'd heard about it. Any more specs? Is there a non-wireless version?

80g is far lower than other wireless mice - it's 3-5g lighter than the wired G Pro v1.0 itself, wire not included - so i wonder where that spec is coming from.

This basically mirrors my experience. Had a Deathadder, exactly when the guarantee runs out, doubleclick issue. Try all of the shit i find online to fix it, software solutions which don't work first, then hardware stuff, opening the mouse, oil on switches, do some shit with isolation tape, whatever someone wrote. Nothing worked. So i thought, hey, i am not gonna buy a razor mouse again. Bought a Kone. Fine for two years, then the same shit exactly as it leaves guarantee.

Totally stopped me from buying any products from those companies. Now i have some 20€ cheap gaming mouse called Anker for 3 years or so, as i thought if the expensive shit breaks down all the time, might as well buy something cheap instead. Works fine, no issues, and it feel good to me (Though i don't really know what criteria to judge a mouse by). If it stops working, i will buy a cheap gaming mouse again, as it has already lasted longer than any "high-quality" product.

Definitively not gonna buy any Razor or Roccat products again. They had this doubleclick issue for ages, but they don't fix it because people keep buying another of their mice when the last one breaks, and they last just long enough that they don't fall under guarantee anymore. Shows to me that they don't really care about making good products, and instead try to make money of their reputation as "high-quality gaming supply companies".

Yea there's a non wireless version coming out later this year, probably around december. The wireless version is the 1st one being released tho.

https://www.overclock.net/forum/375-mice/1696057-logitech-fk-logitech-g-pro-wireless-mouse.html

Logitech FK = Logitech G Pro, they just nicknamed it Logitech FK

From the last page:

"Ok so looks like the release is 8/21 with a MSRP of $150

Not sure if that's for pre-orders or actual purchase date. Meaning it could be 'in-stock' at best buy and on shelves on 8/21"

The wired version is most likely gonna be way cheaper than that.

Razer was considered decent quality a long time ago but they went way downhill. They've had those kinds of issues with mice for the better part of a decade and they use cheaper, worse quality off-brand switches instead of cherries in their keyboards since 5 or 6 years ago.

My Logi mice have been great, there are some like the g203 at £25 which are very solid value.

Don't really like the trend to make mouses bigger again to be honest. What happened to all the small gaming mouses that were around a few years ago?

Plenty of those "small" mice were not even small/light enough for my tastes with fingertip grip and my hands are pretty big. CM Storm Spawn shell was great - https://i.imgur.com/90AB9oZ.jpg

There's plenty of good small mice on the market, what we're lacking is a good medium sized mouse. Basically what we need is a FK2-esque mouse with good clicks, that's the void that needs to be filled.

There was the zowie mico and the steelseries Kinzu. Both are gone and were made for smaller hands. I got a G203 whcih is supposed to be small but is easily a cm longer in length and maybe slightly taller and wider as well. A cm shorter or two would be just right for me. The main problem being that the bigger the mouse, the more your fingers are back from the click actuators, and so the more force you have to use to press the buttons. I dont' really understand. People with smaller hands exist and so do children but apparently the market for them isn't worth catering for anymore.
