Makes sense. I don't need a wireless mouse so its probably better to stay clear.
I'm going to try the G500 logetich at best buy today.
I really like the way Mionix Naos 7000 looks... but I'm not sure about the "curve" which is designed to fit palm grip. That's my biggest complaint about the death added since I no where close to use palm grip.

G502 is the one with that new sensor the nerds are raving about.

yay .
We'll see how it goes. That mouse should still fit claw/finger grip right?
I really like my taipain... but side buttons are super annoying. (I miss click them all the time, even after a month + of use).

Copied from another poster, another website, might be of some use:
Claw grip generally imposes a smaller mouse, even with large hands. If you were comfortable with the Spawn [CM Storm Spawn], you could just get another one (or use the warranty if still applicable), as it's still an excellent mouse for the price. Otherwise, Razer Abyssus is widely regarded as "the" claw grip mouse, if you don't mind the lack of extra buttons. Roccat Savu or Kone Pure optical could work as well. I wouldn't recommend a DeathAdder if the Spawn was suitable in terms of size.

That Logitech shape isn't as large as it appears in pictures when you put your hand on it. I think it's fine for claw and kind of works for finger tip grip with large hands, might actually be too small for palm grip and large hands (wheel and thumb buttons might be too far back when palming it).
What you say about the Taipan, that perhaps means the Avior would not be good for you. The shape seems very similar and the thumb buttons would then also get in the way?

Naos is that shape with special place for ring finger and stuff. Avior is more traditional ambidextrous shape. They both seem to be very similar length. I can't decide how they compare about the curve and height just looking at pictures.
I'd personally would be a bit scared about the Naos shape, can't predict if I'd hate it or not. I'd buy somewhere where I know I'd be able to give it back if I hate it. Avior seems safer to predict that's it's probably a great shape. Any experience with the Razer Ouroboros? I'm mostly considering this mouse because its fully customizable (so I could fit it to my specific grip type).
Yes I had the Ouroboros for about 2 weeks. First of all, the wireless part is worthless. It's not a 500Hz response time which makes playing games like SC2 or CSGO extremely difficult.
The mouse itself is really wide. Combined with it's length, it's a difficult mouse to grip if you have small/medium sized hands and use a claw-grip. I found that I had to remove the entire lower half of the mouse to actually use it with decent accuracy and comfort (I can use the Logtech G502 and Razer Naga 2014 perfectly fine).
For $120, you could do a LOT better. There's also the new EVGA Torq x10 mouse that is on-sale for pre-order and might suit your needs while at the same time is very aesthetically pleasing (if you like carbon fiber). It doesn't have the "perfect" sensor by any means but to me, the quality of the sensor isn't too important as long as it doesn't jitter or fly around like an idiot.

Thanks for the feedback.
Last night I decided to buy the Ouroboros. I have a 45 day return policy, so I'm going to try it out and see how it feels.
So far... I really like it. For all you out there I'll do a brief write up below.
Pros of Razer Ouroboros: - Length of mouse is fully adjustable. From approx 5 inch. to 5 1/2 inch. (measurement taken from middle of mouse on top to bottom) - Palm rest is adjustable to accommodate a large range of grip types. - button layout feels more natural (to me) then the taipain. Buttons are closer to the back of the mouse which accommodates my grip type better.
Cons of Razer Ouroboros: - price. Not sure the heft price tag is worth all the extra customization. - No adjustable weight
Also: through trying out mouses... I realize I have a potentially strange grip type. My lower palm does not actually sit on my mouse. My grip type is like the finger grip; however, the upper portion of my palm (just below my knuckle joints) will rest on my mouse. Does this have a name?

No, but i've seen some people do that with high sens (like 1.5k dpi)

yea I can't use anything faster than 800 dpi .
I think it might be because I have big hands. When I move the mouse, my palm lifts up (so only my fingers are touching). The only time the upper palm/hand rests on the mouse is when I'm not moving.
EDIT: on a side note: would that grip type be closer to the claw... or closer to the finger grip? xD

That would explain why the death adder caused thumb pain... not the most comfortable finger grip mouse.

Yea. I ended up returning my DA after three weeks. My thumb still hurts... but its not as bad... slowly recovering xD
So far... I am loving the Odorous. The only thing I don't like about it is the ridiculous price tag. The wireless is pretty terrible. It has a very similar "style" to the taipain except the buttons are closer to the back of the mouse.

btw, i told logitech about my defective G100S buttons and they instantly send me a new one with morning express delivery trough amazon.
I hope that one lasts longer -.-

nice. I thought about the logetech... but I prefer a mouse with less buttons.

The G100S only has 2 buttons, wheel and a DPI switch

My razer Deathadder just died.
The thing I didn't like about my deathadder was the fact I couldn't set it to 800dpi without opening the razer software.
Claw grip style, 800dpi is what I am most comfortable with mostly playing sc2, some shooters on the side.
What mouse would you guys recommend to me? I am hoping to grab it in a couple hours if possible because I wanted to play some tonight as its the only time I actually have free for the next little while.
Thanks!

What do you mean by you couldn't set it to 800 dpi without going into the program? You can remap the side buttons to act as dpi throttles.

I was hoping not to run the software and the DPI is set by software
I ended up getting the RTS edition Theron from TTesports
What makes it RTS edition? It has a laser instead of optical sensor. Oh and it has side lights for apm -_-
