Hey guys, dun wanna overpay, so here's what I need, tell me if it's even possible.

1. What's your grip style?
claw-fingertip grip
2. What's your sensitivity?
medium
3. What's your maximum budget?
40e
4. Do you want additional buttons?
not needed
5. What games do you play?
all kinds of games
6. Do you mind angle snapping?
nope
7. Other relevant information:
rather have it in ergonomic shape but it's not that big of a deal
i'd love if it could track on glossy and transparent surfaces, but that's really not that important
wired of course

i generally just want a decent reliable mouse

thanks

Old mouse is starting to break down so looking for a better one.

1. What's your grip style?
claw-finger-tip hybrid but definitely closer to claw.

2. What's your sensitivity?
medium

3. What's your maximum budget?
rather not spend more than $80-100

4. Do you want additional buttons?
Thinking of maybe at least 1 that I can macro to. I play D3 CM/WW and currently use a macro hotkey program. Would be nice to have on mouse instead of holding down on keyboard...just feels like im hurting the keyboard over time.

5. What games do you play?
LoL, D3, SC2. Variety of steam games including FPS.

6. Do you mind angle snapping?
I think my current one has it but I'm willing to try out one without it. I hear its better for gaming but even if it feels bad I'm sure I'll adapt.

7. Other relevant information:
I usually use medium sized mice b/c of the way I hold them. Not a big fan of ones where I claw it but also end up plaming it somehow. Also I not like heavy mice.

Currently I think I'd like a Razor mouse of some sort but I'm open to suggestions from the experts!

Thanks!

Best mouse u can buy immo is Steelseries Kana V2. Sensor Shape Switches ....perfect. Eats old WMO for breakfast! I play SC 2 and Quake Live and for me personally is the new Kana the best mouse ever made! Have here Deathadder 2013, Zowie AM, Steelseries Rival, Zowie Mico, Steelseries Sensei, Razer Abyssus, Logitech g100s, Steelseries Kinzu V2 pro and Roccat Kone Pure. They all have no chance! Word!
For some people the high Lod could be a problem. Thats the only negative point.

Hey guys, want to buy some substitute for my old Microsoft mouse 5000. It started to glitch recently.

1. What's your grip style?
palm-fingertip grip (most likely palm, but hard to tell because the MS mouse is very small)
2. What's your sensitivity?
low>medium
3. What's your maximum budget?
No restrictions
4. Do you want additional buttons?
1-2 buttons in easily accessible locations(most likely thumb) would be nice. No need for Razer Naga style mice :D
5. What games do you play?
WoT, some FPS.
6. Do you mind angle snapping?
Without it would be much more better.
7. Other relevant information:
I guess rubberised and wired would be the best option. Laser because will use it without mousepad. It will be used for very long hours at my work as well, so it must be very comfortable to use and sturdy.
Stuck somewhere in between: Roccat Kone Pure, TT esports Theron, SS sensei raw, Corsair Vengeance M65, gigabyte m8000x, Razer Deathadder 2013(dunno how deathadder's sensor will work without mousepad), CM Storm mice looks pretty decent as well (havoc for example)

Can someone help to narrow down this list?

this thread seems to be somewhat alive so i'm going to post my lifetime experience with mouses in here now.
~2004 mx510, my first mouse that i can remember. this pretty much shaped my fingertip grip. i also kind of liked the "a bit heavier than 310" feel.
~2008 mouse1 of mx510 broke so i bought mx518, which was basically the same as 510
~2010 mouse2 of mx518 broke and i was testing out some new mouses. i remembered an ad of mionix naos 5000 that machinae supremacy made some months ago. the driver program for mionix was INCREDIBLY hard to install, (some bug issues, i dont know if they are fixed now). i like heavy mouses but this felt a bit too heavy, luckily it had really good weight customisation so i could set it just as i liked the mx510-518's. this mouse still has the best resting spots for ring finger and pinky that i have ever felt in a mouse.
2013 january. mouse1 of the mionix naos 5000 broke and i was once again looking for a new mouse. i picked logitech G700 which costed 62 euros at the time (today G700S costs ~110€). it has 4 buttons for your thumb which all are really nicely placed. this mouse was wireless but when you plugged in the cable it became wired and started recharging. a really neat feature, but after using the mionix naos 5000 the ring finger and pinky felt really bad when i raised the mouse. (also it felt a bit heavier). i got used to this but i never really liked the feeling. [some people complained about the mousewheel of g700, you can change the setting of it to normal logitech style.]
2014 january. mouse 4 of g700 broke and i was looking for 2 new mouses. i had played a lot of dota2 and got used to the 4 buttons for my right thumb that g700 had so i really didn't want to let go of the extra mouse buttons.
1. i picked a g602 which had 6 buttons for right thumb. these all felt really bad and i still cant feel the difference which button is which.
2. i also bought a roccat kone xtd (i wanted kone pure, but it was slightly smaller and since i got big hands i went with xtd). this was a bit lighter than my previous mouses and it actually felt pretty good. the surface of feels VERY smooth. my ring finger and pinky got very sweaty for the first few days.

if i had to pick a mouse right now, these would be my preferences.
1. fingertip grip
2. sensitivity medium-high
4. Do you want additional buttons?
5 mouse buttons are enough for almost anyhing. if you need more buttons, learn to use your keyboard better.
not needed
5. What games do you play?
dota2, sc2, different mmo, fps, rts, f2p games.
7. Other relevant information:
i got very long fingers.

if i had to pick a mouse right now, i would probably get mionix naos 7000.

You could give the Razer Naga 2013 Edition a try if you need thumb buttons. It has 12 of them but for me (I have relatively skinny small hands) only about 8 of them are reachable in high-tension gaming moments (the 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 keys). It maxes out at 8200 DPI.

Hmm. So could anyone compare the Deathadder '13 vs the Steelseries Rival to me?

I wanted to go for either a DA or Zowie AM, but no cheap shop ships them to me, so I've decided i'm gonna look a bit further. Logitech's not really my deal, so what do you guys suggest? I have fairly big hands and use a claw grip for gaming. Right now I use a sensei and although I kind of like it's feel, I'm not entirely convinced it's for me especially considering it has a (single digit, but still..!) percentage of native accel.

Also as a side question: Is the old 1800 DPI Deathadder still decent/as good as the '13? (Mostly talking about the sensor here) because they're pretty cheap and reliable they'll actually arrive at ebay.

I really like the Korean salmosa for fingertip play. it's a real solid mouse and you can get them very cheap on ebay. it's a super small mouse, but the size feels right for me and it's very comfortable.

Just received the Korean Salmosa today, and it took about 15 minutes for me to get used to its shape. It's definitely flatter than any mouse I've used, including a tiny OLD Logitech Notebook optical plus+ (that's what the label on the back said) and Zowie Mico.

I'm not a fingertip nor claw user, and found this little mouse quite comfortable. Doesn't bother me like the humpy Logi M325. Guess I'm now a metacarpal user, half-palm? upper-palm? lol. Both clicks are loud, but the wheel is quiet. My fingertips sometimes graze that flair-up edge of the buttons, seem to be a design norm for all Razer mice. Wish there were thumb buttons though!

I have one on way, I have no clue on how they would manage to fit sidebuttons. That would be pretty cool to see.

Well since I'm probably going to have to wait a long time for a Ninox Aurora since bst went missing =/ I guess I should search for an alternative.

1. What's your grip style?
I hybrid between claw and fingertip, sometimes leaning towards one or the other.
2. What's your sensitivity?
It depends on what I'm doing or playing, simply put I'll use 400/800/1600 dpi.
3. What's your maximum budget?
None, I want to see everything out there.
4. Do you want additional buttons?
Two side buttons on the left side of the mouse is very important

A quick way to switch between dpi steps is of little importance but if it is there cool, if not it's okay.
5. What games do you play?
CSGO, Borderlands 2, rarely SC, PoE
6. Do you mind angle snapping?
I do not want angle snapping.
7. Other relevant information:
I like lightweight, ambidextrous mic that are as flawless as possible so that things like accel isn't there or isn't noticeable.

I don't really like buying Steelseries or Razer but if they have a quality product that I'm unaware of, please inform me.

It is important that I can move the mouse quickly without issues because I tend to play low sens with some games so I have to make faster bigger movements.

Build quality is important to me too.

I hope that is enough information and not too much =) I am a bit picky so I'm interested to see what (if anything lol) gets suggested.

zowie fk or am: 450, 1150 and 2300 dpi hardware switch setting, not cheap, has two side buttons on each side (only one side active at a time though), no angle snapping or stuff like that, reasonable lightweight, sensor as flawless as it can get and no steelseries or razer.

I was looking at the FK earlier today. The DPI steps are really weird but I think I can live with them. I have a feeling I'll buy this mouse.

Thanks!

1. What's your grip style?
leaning towards fingertip but mostly claw.
2. What's your sensitivity?
low-mid (~1200 DPI)
3. What's your maximum budget?
€70,-
4. Do you want additional buttons?
Not necessary.
5. What games do you play?
Starcraft II, Single player RPG's and a bit of Counter Strike once in a while as well as Dota 2. Might play the MMO Wildstar in the future.
6. Do you mind angle snapping?
Yes.
7. Other relevant information:

The mouse needs to have 1:1 - no acceleration of any sorts natively.
I can get used to weight and size, but I have fairly large hands
I'm currently using a Steelseries Sensei and even though I like it a bit, I feel it's time for a change especially since it has a laser and has a slight amount of positive accel.
Right now I'm looking at the Steelseries Rival and the Razer Deathadder.

If someone could give advice on a somewhat different question:

Is the old, 3.5G deathadder worse than the new 4G (2013) one? Because they're a lot cheaper.

The CM Storm Recon might also fit into your list and could be a great optical replacement for the Sensei. It's pretty heavy and feels like quality. It looks better in person than in pictures.

The old Deathadder might have had a better sensor. It had no people bitch about some sort of weird smoothing like on the current Deathadder 2013.

Thanks. I'm going to make a list of a couple of mice I might be getting then. I'm looking on eBay for the 1800 DPI (the old one) DeathAdder, and I see PC-bang editions, (so basically korean versions) They don't have the two buttons on the side etc. Is this stuff legit or is it really just a ripoff?

Talking about offers like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Razer-DeathAdder-Pro-Gaming-Mouse-Mice-Korea-special-edition-1800dpi-3-buttons-/121166966113?pt=Mice&hash=item1c361d2d61

I don't really know anything about korean 1800 ver

2013 has better stats than 3.5g in some areas, but smoothing - for most people, the stats on 3.5g are high enough anyway (stuff like perfect control speed is already >3m/s)

3310 sensor improves a lot of stuff, but in chasing the really high dpi numbers (we're seeing it operate at like 7k dpi) there is sensor-level latency and smoothing applied to every DPI setting that is significant and some have argued crippling (though i've not used one myself) - lots of mice such as the Rival and naos 7k have that same sensor

You need to use 1800dpi step on the 3.5g and adjust downwards with driver-level stuff to use lower sens as the 450, 900 and 3500dpi steps perform very badly in comparison

You might also want to look at some CM mice. Storm spawn, spawn v2 and their half-weirdly-released-but-is-releasing-with-different-sensor-instead-soon bigger shell optical? Not sure if it was Alcor or Mizar.

for perfect mouse price not important, but hopefully it will last long.

yes

Ok so, I've been using razer naga for about 3 years now, this mouse is total disaster. After about 3 months right button started double-clicking. I found some guides how to fix this on youtube ( it actually required me to open mouse manually and put some oil on button). Problem would return after few months so I had to redo it again and again. 3 years after right click is almost not usable, and left click started double clicking too.
Btw I won this mouse in some contest so I couldn't return it. Now I'm not someone who can easily spend 50+ bucks on mouse, and especially since I had this bad experience with razer. But situation got so bad with this mouse that I'm kind of forced to buy new mouse. Gaming is my passion so regular mouse wont do. And also I have some urge to smash this crap with my hammer for all bad memories with clicking issues.

I did some research on my own and saw that majority people claim logitech make most durable and highest quality mice out there, but someone wrote he changed 3 logitech mice in few years... so now I'm in doubt here.
Are these companies starting to be crap on purpose or what? Before I won this naga, I used some cheap 3 euros mouse for like 8 years without any problems. So whats up with these "gaming" mice that suddenly die and cost 50+...
So I pay all that money for some cheap plastic that stop functioning in few months or what...
Anyways sorry for wall of text, but I had to get this of my chest.
Mouse need to be optical and hopefully durable.

So I've looked up the CM storm Spawn and they are simply not shipping them to the Netherlands. Amazon is an option but that takes very long and also they only accept credit cards/paypal with creditcards, which I don't ahve and is pretty difficult to get in the netherlands. :/ Does anyone have any other suggestions apart from a DA?
