So I've looked up the CM storm Spawn and they are simply not shipping them to the Netherlands. Amazon is an option but that takes very long and also they only accept credit cards/paypal with creditcards, which I don't ahve and is pretty difficult to get in the netherlands. :/ Does anyone have any other suggestions apart from a DA?

They explicitly said that they're shipping a version to EU shops etc before they revise the mouse with community suggestions, new sensor etc. If i was getting one, i probably wouldn't want the version 1.0 that's only released because "we made a bunch before we decided we wanted different stuff on/in it"~

Alcor in concept seems a decent mouse but do the research first. There's threads on overclock.net

I am have a finger tip / claw grip style. I have been using a Ttesports Theron (military green).

I find that any ambidextrous mouse fits well for this type of grip. Mionix Avior and Roccat Kova are very good options as well, If quality may be a concern. The Theron is my first Ttesports product and it hasn't caused me any issues. Software to set DPI to profiles could be better, but as soon I set my desired settings, it's been all happy trails.

I'm coming from a G9x and Deathadder 3500. Deathadder ran into double clicking issues. G9x braiding pooped itself, but the mouse still functions. I primarily use my G9x for AutoCAD.

I knew about the revision plans, and I personally don't see a point to them, especially to changing the sensor to the 3310, which is probably going to up the price for no reason.

Isn't it the same sensor as the spawn? Why would they change it if it's as good? >.<
To the guy looking to buy a spawn in europe, I had to have it shipped from Amazon US, I only had to pay the VAT, there is no other custom fee on mice afaik. Kind of annoying though

1. What's your grip style?
Fingertip
2. What's your sensitivity?
Medium
3. What's your maximum budget?
60~100 CAD/USD
4. Do you want additional buttons?
Two side-buttons
5. What games do you play?
SC2/Dota2/other blizz games and some simulation
6. Do you mind angle snapping?
No
7. Other relevant information:
I've been using the Alienware TactX mouse for the past 3 years. I find it super comfortable. First one started double-clicking after 2 years, second one in 5 months. I heard its shape is based on the discontinued G9X. I tried DA to see if I can deal with palm grip - I couldn't. Got a R.A.T. and it was a bit too wide.

Currently I'm thinking of spawn or orochi. But the former is advertised as claw grip and the latter doesn't have a proper grip dimension I can look at. Other CM Storm mice look good as well.

Please help. Thanks.

What would you recommend for someone who loves his mico, but want another mouse which is like it, but with less hard to click buttons (sorry if this isn't very understandable, i mean about the pressure required to press down the main buttons).

@Godwrath:

I tried the CM Storm Xornet and it had very light buttons. If you like that strange shape it has where the ring finger has to rest in that groove on the right side, it could be good. I think its sensor only worked well at low dpi but I don't really remember any more.

The CM Storm Spawn is very similar and would be a better idea because of a better sensor, but it typically isn't available in European shops.

Zowie MiCO. The buttons are harder-than-average to click so you'll probably never double click.

Just wanted to report that I put a cloth mouse pad in the washing machine and nothing bad happened. The rubber base did not disintegrate and the cloth looks like new after the wash. I was always afraid to put mouse pads in the washing machine, only ever washed by hand in the sink until now.

It is a "Sharkoon 1337 XL", which is not expensive, very large and thin, and uses materials that look very similar to the QCK. I used a 30 C program for the wash with spin dry speeds somewhat reduced. The mouse pad is black and it did not do anything to the various light colored clothes that were also in the wash.

Thanks for pointing that out. I can't live without the sides =\ Will probably try spawn and hope its shape is alright. Thanks.

You might want to look around for a mouse that uses "Omron" switches for the buttons. That's half of what made the buttons of the Xornet/Spawn I mentioned so good. The other half was probably the plastic for the buttons being separate from the rest of the top of the mouse (unlike on your Mico for example).

I'm currently using a Logitech MX518, but I'm thinking of buying a smaller, lighter mouse. I mostly use a clawgrip and I play mainly Starcraft, dota and quake. The CM storm xornet looks like a good fit. Does anyone have experience with that mouse? I would probably use it at the 1000 dpi setting.

Any recommendations for a logitech g3 replacement? Unfortunately, the steelseries kana v2 isn't available in north america. 5 buttons is a must.

If you like heavy mice, the CM Storm Recon felt great to me. It's not small, but the way it is shaped it did not seem uncomfortable to use coming from an Abyssus. It is symmetrical and shaped to be easily gripped and lifted, the thumb buttons are positioned well. The Mouse wheel I remember judging as good, should be a lot better than Logitech G3. It looked good in person, much better than how it looks in pictures. Its price seems great for what you get.

Its sensor seemed like best possible optical, definitely good enough to replace and beat that 2000 dpi laser on the G3, though you might need a mouse pad if you are currently using the G3 directly on a table.

The only downside was that it was heavy. After using it for a few days, I tried my old Abyssus again and it felt sooo nice using the very light mouse so I couldn't keep using the Recon.

1. What's your grip style?
Palmgrip

2. What's your sensitivity?
Dont know really, something medium me thinks, standard

3. What's your maximum budget?
Well I cannot buy Razer Mamba
<100$, I am looking for cheapest option possible

4. Do you want additional buttons?
Nope, just standard 2 buttons, I am fine with that

5. What games do you play?
Starcraft 2, Diablo 3

6. Do you mind angle snapping?
Not sure what "angle snapping" mean so I guess no
(Sry I am not native english speaker)

7. Other relevant information:
Right now I am using Steelseries Kinzu v2 Pro Edition, it works fine, but after long using this mouse (~4 hours of clicking) my fingers are starting to hurt badly, while on my old mouse Razer Krait there was no problem with fingers hurting me (but with not responding buttons instead). I am looking for mouse which got very light click, so my fingers wouldnt hurt me after hours of fast clicking, and ofcourse I want buttons on that mouse which are free of mass clicking issues or smth like that.

Help me TL

I tried an old intellimouse today, not sure which version (white shell, red glow from sensor, ~400dpi) and it was surprisingly nice compared to DA

On deathadder ATM, the bottom half of the mouse is heavily moulded for palm grip:

^You have to put thumb about half to two thirds of the way up the mouse, or it tilts 10 or 15 degrees at an angle and you get loss of accuracy and crazy cursor drift. The plastic is very very hard to grip though with any sweat (intellimouse was better by a surprising amount, i could last two or three times as long in an intense osu map) and that is pretty disastrous for trying any kind of fingertip grip. If your palm isn't in contact with the mouse you'll probably be uncomfortable and also not be able to hold and manipulate the pretty big size and weight very well. I used it for a couple years (poorly, at first) and never managed to really get over that
