So what's your suggestion on mice for a claw gripper requiring at least 5 (3 extra) buttons and normally sitting at 1200-1600DPI?
And with regards to lasers - is it the acceleration you find unfavourable? Because I haven't had too much of an issue with them so far
Razer Abyssus? Or MiCO? It does have 1600dpi, but the 800dpi has better performance. You'll get used to it though
For me the biggest problem with laser sensor was the jittering on many mousepads, the acceleration wasn't that bad for me.

Hey guys, I was loking to buy the Razer Abyssus since its a cheap gaming mouse, is it actually good? or is it really bad quality for that money? I just want a cheap gaming mouse ideally below £50 and can be bought in a retail store.

I have a deathadder black edition and the mousewheel click is kind of not always working. Which is somewhat of a problem because I only scroll in SC2 using that. Is that a common problem with the deathadder / is there an easy fix?

It's decent, the only downside are the glossy sides. That's the one reason why I don't use it anymore.

The DA is pretty good if you're into that shape of a mouse, yeah.

The DA 2013's side grips are tiny though

I have this old Razer Copperhead but didn't realize to ask until now: Very often when I use it to click on something, the mouse pointer jitters a little. It feels like it's far too sensitive or that there's dust in the sensor but I've already cleaned it multiple times. Any recommendations for fixing this?

I find that 400dpi is too low and 800dpi is too high for my screen resolution (1366x768). What's my best bet besides getting a mouse that allow dpi in that range?
|
You could see what you can do with the mouse pointer speed slider in Windows.
The middle is 1.0 factor for mouse movement. Going to the left, you get 0.75, 0.5 and 0.25 for the next three positions.
You could try 800 dpi and 0.75 pointer speed, giving you fake 600 dpi on the desktop. The mouse pointer should behave somewhat jittery. If your mouse has a 1200 dpi setting, that one would be great with the 0.5 pointer speed option.
There's also hidden positions on that mouse pointer speed slider which you can only access through the registry. That might be interesting, but I don't know where to look for that.

Hi there, hope this is the right thread for this. I have trouble with my logitech g9x. When i play SC2 and start splitting my marines, i recognize that my mouse doesn't reacts properly, when i box and right click pretty fast, my mouse often times doesn't seem to react to my right click, so i only box, but the right click won't happen. If i try to split up my marines fast and box and right click like 4-5 times most times just 1-2 groups of marines move. Anyone has solution to this problem?

I was in that situation when I got my g9x the first time. Just get used to click harder and more with the finger tips on the buttons center. That helped me and now it's working fine. I used to get to level 30 easy in the marine split challenge, but when I got the g9x I hardly managed to get to level 15 and splitting didn't work right, I boxed and pressed right mouse button and they just didn't do anything.
Try what I told you, it works like a charm for me.

@xsnac:
Can you work with heavy mice? The "CM Storm Recon" worked very well for me on two cloth pads I tried, but it's very heavy. The sensor seemed to be pretty excellent. It has a 800 dpi setting. You can tweak LOD settings somewhat. It looked better in person compared to pictures.
I think I grab my mouse pretty similar to you judging by that picture you shared. My hand is not that different, probably a bit smaller.
Please be aware there are a whole bunch of different "CM Storm" mice. There's not only Spawn if that was the one you thought of. The Recon is very different.

most korean sc2 progamers use either the g9x (without any shell) or the zowie mico, there are some that use the razer abyssus as well (like jaedong). either of those is fine, try them and don't let the "crappy sensor" talk get to you, it hardly ever matters (also some people wish it would )
