Totally Agree. I have the Dethadder, as well as a Steelseries Qck+ and both work amazing for SC2.

I use a claw grip and I am pretty comfortable with my Razer DiamondBack 3g. Reasonably priced at 49.95 + Shipping. Had it for a little over 2 years. Unfortunately it's starting to wear down, and the 2 year warranty is void now. Sensitivity is great on a soft pad. Might take some time to get use to, but definitely worth its price. It's fairly light, if you don't like heavy mouses and has a 6 foot cord I think. So use to the DPI now I am looking to upgrade to a more sensitive mouse. Overall it's really good for its money, and works great for me!

Currently using a Razer Copperhead, also been looking to get a new mouse. Use a palm/claw type grip not sure what it's called, and I like larger mouses since I have large hands. Copperhead is a great size for me, and DPI doesn't matter since I think I use the 2nd lowest setting which is like 800, although I've been wanting to increase it but it's too hard to get used to how sensitive it is.

Also, why do you guys need such huge mousepads? I bought a small razer goliathus and it's fine, do you guys really need more than a foot of width to move the mouse around? I barely move the mouse at all, maybe 3 inches left and right max. Why do people get gigantic mousepads?

Ive been using a G9X for a couple days now and it feels so much better then any razer/steelseries i have dumped money into. However it comes down to personal preference really, alot of people love the deathadder and i hated it along with my brother who owned one.

Currently using the logitech g500 + steelseries qck. I prefer logitech for mice, but again this is all preference. I was skeptical of "gaming" mouse pads versus the old one I had, but after I got the qck it made a noticeable difference. Much smoother and more precise to use.

Does anyone know where I can find the Diamondback. I couldn't find it on newegg and the razer site doesn't produce them anymore I think.

If they still produce the Copperhead it is essentially identical in shape and all the performance issues should be ironed out by now.

In my experience, it's not the mouse that matters, it's the person using the mouse. Find a mouse you like, it doesn't have to be some super awesome mouse that cost you loads of cash. Just find a mouse that works and use it.

Here are some things to consider when making your purchase:
-Weight (A lot of people prefer heavy mice, just preference)
-DPI switching (More useful in FPS and general web browsing than RTS, IMO)
-Laser vs optical (http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10166_7-6419059-1.html)
-Buttons (You don't need more than 5, if you're using this for RTS and basic web browsing and such)
-Shape (Just depends on how you hold the mouse)
-Price
-Corded (Wireless = batteries, slight delay in reaction time)

Go look around Newegg or Tigerdirect, sort by price. I highly doubt there's anything designed specifically for FPS or RTS. The most specialized mouse on the market, IMO is the Razer mouse than has 15 thumb buttons o whatever. It's great for WoW but totally obnoxious for anything else.

I tend to play FPS, RTS and MMORPGS, and the Microsoft Sidewinder X5 has been pretty good for me (Sidewinder's been great to me, still can play FPS on a competitive level). After using different mousepads, I haven't felt enough of a difference to justify the purchase of a "gaming" mousepad. The only thing I really look for at this point is the texture. Can't stand the ones that feel all plastic-y. You don't need a giant freakin' mousepad either. That's what DPI switching is for.

I personally use a CM Storm Inferno

I love it, all the buttons are customisable, pretty standard however you have DPI control and also profile switching (up to 4 different mouse profiles i think) I have one for each race and one for FPS, very nice

Very happy with my Logitech G9 configured at full weight with the scroll wheel locked. One thing to consider is that the 1.2 patch will allow us to map a mouse button to Push-To-Talk, so while for the most part any mouse will do, it can be handy to have at least one extra button besides the wheel.

I use this and its pretty amazing, compared to my 6 year old $5 HP Ball mouse that I used. The custom grip and removable weights makes it worth ur while.

Its kinda expensive but I bought it a $50 from a guy who just used it for 2 months. Pretty good deal I suppose!

I love the design of the Deathadder but it's just so damn big that I had to skip out on it. I use to use an MX518 during the CS days but I've stopped palming and went into using fingertip grip (which is impossible on the Deathadder for my hands). I've been using tiny Logitech mice until I had gotten and Abyssus which is perfect.

And I'd also up the QcK, so good. Had the + a long time ago and it was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

I personally use a Razer Mamba. Anything Razer works well for Claw Grip. My friend has a Razer Naga, the one with 17 total buttons, apparently it works well for his Micro and Macro since everything is on the thumb for him now, which gives him more manageability. I personally love my Mamba because I enjoy the weight and the fact that it's wireless, which is a big plus for me. It is shaped like the DeathAdder. The Naga is thinner, but a bit taller, still works well for claw gripping, which me and my friend both do.

Also, for a mousepad, I have a Razer Goliathus Control edition. I also have a speed edition, depends on how I feel that day really.

That is a good mouse, as far as a keyboard is concerned, I suggest something mechanical like the Steelseries 6G or Razer Black Widow. Mechanical is better because of tactile feedback and the potential to register every single key at once theoretically.

Currently using a Razer Imperator with a destructor mousepad. Pretty nice combo, the imperator is very comfortable. I must say though, I always have liked my old copperhead.

There is plenty of good mice to choose from. Razer/Logitech and etc are all good. As having been someone who has used around 15 different mice over the last 10 years I would consider myself decently knowledgeable. Razer mice are a bit over prices but more importantly have alot of useless stats that are gloated about by Razer. Trust me you don't need 1600+ DPI. The main reason I will never get another Razer mouse is because of or rather lack there of durability. My razer mouse broken in about 4 months of Iccup usage.

As far as mouse suggestion: MX 518. This mouse lasts longer than the rest I've tried. Spend your money on a good keyboard/mouse pad. Mouse pads last years and as just as important as the mouse.

I've been using this mouse (Razer Deathadder 3.5) since phase 2 of the beta and have had no issues whatsoever with it, I think its a little large but you get used to that fairly quickly. I honestly dont think the mouse ever matters because even InflowMini aka Minigun has said that he uses a 10 dollar mouse even though he has an expensive logitech gaming mouse, I think just make sure its not some old rolling ball mouse and you'll be fine Hope this helps.

Recently my razermouse broke. Now I have a Roccat Kone+ and I'm amazed by it's precision. Just feels great and glides over the surface very smoothly.
