Yes, it's as important as the mouse, a good mousepad such as the Steelseries QcK changes the way you percieve movement. I've bought a Cyborg R.A.T. 7, and used it 2 days without a mousepad, it was horrible, but after I paired it with the QcK it just floates, it really improves the precision, the movement, everything basically.

That's actually getting pretty close to a literal statement.

Raze DeathAdder. It's perfect, but then again it's the first gaming mouse I bought. But I'm so glad I did, it really improved my ability to use the mouse effectively and comfortably. I'll also attach my personal "mouseholding-preference", as that differs. I'm not a "claw" type of guy. Mouse holding position

What the fuck îs that ABOMINATION? P.S. More than meets the eye.. I also have a question. I use a wireless MX1000 laser mouse and i really like that 500 pounds rock.. But a lot of people say that wireless îs bad. Why îs that? Do you REALLY percive the couple nanoseconds of delay because the signal travels with less than 300km/s for a distance of 20 cm? I don't..

ontopic: i use a logitech g500, feels pretty nice, 3 buttons on side if you wana use em as control grps (if you wana do this gotta edit their function in logitech setpoint) for no point rly. scroll locked ofc, also there you can change sensitivity of mouse on the go (5settings). the feet on the mouse are better than most other logitech mouses.

I switched from a mx1000 to a Razer Abyssus and the difference is huge imo. I guess the precision is fine but once you get a very light mouse like the Abyssus and get used to it, it feels so much better. It's the same with all these discussions, having a better mouse won't magicly make you better but it can give you a small edge and most importantly make it more enjoyable to play.

I've heard the Salmosa was very good but after researching about the mouse I've found that it has movement prediction and I literally hate that, maybe I'll aim for an Abyssus or a Logitech G9x if I can afford one, the Xai seems like a good mouse but I can't find anyplace in my country that has one on display to test, does anyone know if it works with claw grip? I wish Logitech would still make a mouse shaped as the MX300/G1/G3, I can't understand why they discontinued that model, it was really good.

G500 and MX518 seem similar enough, though. I'll probably move on to one when my G5 dies, if that ever happens. I've had it for an absurdly long time now (4+ years) with zero complaints.
