I use a Kensignton mouse.. Didn't really have any other mouse to use so I found this one in my house it's GREAT! I love it and it's great! I may not have any top of the line mouses that most people do. But if you love to play starcraft 2. This mouse is amazing ! In my honest opinion haven't tried any other mouse though...

Yes, it's as important as the mouse, a good mousepad such as the Steelseries QcK changes the way you percieve movement.
I've bought a Cyborg R.A.T. 7, and used it 2 days without a mousepad, it was horrible, but after I paired it with the QcK it just floates, it really improves the precision, the movement, everything basically.

Using a Razer Destructor Mousepad, with a Steelseries Ikari Laser. I have brought my setup to the lan center I frequent, very often, and all of the other customers love my setup. It's super accurate, it feels light, ergonomic, and efficient. Have a Steelseries 7g for the keyboard as well since I love the wristguard for it.

There are hundreds of these threads already.

That's actually getting pretty close to a literal statement.

Raze DeathAdder. It's perfect, but then again it's the first gaming mouse I bought. But I'm so glad I did, it really improved my ability to use the mouse effectively and comfortably. I'll also attach my personal "mouseholding-preference", as that differs. I'm not a "claw" type of guy.

What the fuck îs that ABOMINATION?

P.S. More than meets the eye..

I also have a question. I use a wireless MX1000 laser mouse and i really like that 500 pounds rock.. But a lot of people say that wireless îs bad. Why îs that? Do you REALLY percive the couple nanoseconds of delay because the signal travels with less than 300km/s for a distance of 20 cm? I don't..

Deathadder > Salmosa IMO, but I have pretty big hands so that may be why.
Have you considered the MMO-Champion forum? You are just as irrational and delusional with the right portion of nostalgic populism. By the way: The old Brood War was absolutely unplayable

what ever mouse feels best to you, your question is relative it would be like saying "what is the best food in the world?" well that is completely relative to the person, i strongly advise re-wording your question to something like "what mouse do you use and why do u like it etc, and ask for polling rates etc".

ontopic: i use a logitech g500, feels pretty nice, 3 buttons on side if you wana use em as control grps (if you wana do this gotta edit their function in logitech setpoint) for no point rly. scroll locked ofc, also there you can change sensitivity of mouse on the go (5settings). the feet on the mouse are better than most other logitech mouses.

I switched from a mx1000 to a Razer Abyssus and the difference is huge imo. I guess the precision is fine but once you get a very light mouse like the Abyssus and get used to it, it feels so much better. It's the same with all these discussions, having a better mouse won't magicly make you better but it can give you a small edge and most importantly make it more enjoyable to play.

I've used to have a Logitech MX300, but 400 wasn't enough for SC2 so I switched to an A4Tech X7, cheap high DPI mouse, the tracker is horrible and has very bad movement prediction, used it for two months and had to stop playing Quake Live with it because it was unbearable, for SC2 it was decent but in the end I got a Razer Death Adder and while I'm not a fan of the shape the mouse is really good, I claw grip and stabilize the mouse with a single point of my palm on the back of the mouse, the DA is decent to use with claw grip but it's too heavy to play for long periods.

I've heard the Salmosa was very good but after researching about the mouse I've found that it has movement prediction and I literally hate that, maybe I'll aim for an Abyssus or a Logitech G9x if I can afford one, the Xai seems like a good mouse but I can't find anyplace in my country that has one on display to test, does anyone know if it works with claw grip?

I wish Logitech would still make a mouse shaped as the MX300/G1/G3, I can't understand why they discontinued that model, it was really good.

I love my G5. Too bad it's been discontinued...

G500 and MX518 seem similar enough, though. I'll probably move on to one when my G5 dies, if that ever happens. I've had it for an absurdly long time now (4+ years) with zero complaints.

Love my MX518, and it costs like half the price of the competition. Can't go wrong really, unless money is not an issue for you

Whatever mouse that feels comfortable is the preferred mouse for SC2. I use the G9x because it rests my hand in a very natural position which prevents carpel tunnel. Gaming mice arent really worth the money when it comes to RTS because you can't use macros legally in tourneys and such. FPS and RPGs on the other hand are where they shine.
