to answer your question seriously - it may very well help you increase your apm by making it easier to press keys compared to your current keyboard if it is really old or bad. The increase wont be drastic though and it certainly wont spell the difference between lets say diamond and masters league play. it wont make you smarter.

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if this came up in this thread or not, but a google search for using the razer's built-in media keys for winamp came up dry here (and this was the most relevant on the first page). Just wanted to let everyone know that it IS possible, and actually quite easy. All you have to do is go to preferences ([wave logo]>options>preferences or ctrl-p), click on "Global Hotkeys" on the left, and the corresponding frame will appear. Tick the "Enabled" combo-box and you will be good to go. You may also want to tick "Enable default multimedia key support...", though from what I've seen so far it isn't entirely necessary I'm leaving it on for good measure.

How do you clean your Blackwidow guys? Mine is getting pretty much dirty with dust and finger print marks. >.<

I use a can of compressed air to blow away the dust, and you can just wipe fingerprints off?

if youre too cheap to get compressed air you can try wetting a dull toothpick for the cracks xD thats what i do

What are those "roll over issues" that the keyboard has ? I'm very interested in buying one for myself but that concerns me. Does that keyboard really have these issues ?

Wondering, for the Ultimate Edition, how durable are the keycaps? Will they eventually wear out over time, so that all you see is a bright light (like Lycosa?), or will that not happen?

love the way it feels to type, love everything about the keyboard so far except the macro buttons on the left side. It screws up the way I put my hands on the keyboard.

That sucks man, I guess you just got unlucky, I've had mine a few days now and it's been working great. Blackwidow Ultimate, and it's a dream to type on. The backlighting is sexy too, and I got a free Razer Spectre with it. Not a bad mouse actually, I was going to sell it but a friend convinced me to try it out and so far I'm liking it as opposed to my Abyssus. Still haven't decided yet.
So far would recommend this keyboard, especially if Newegg is still offering the free mouse with it. I'll have to check back with you all in a month or two though to see if it holds up.

My Razer Spectre mouse was a giant piece of shit. I wanted to bad for it work but alas...it was not to be.
Man I just got my blackwidow ultimate like 2 weeks ago (from NewEgg) or so and there was so free mouse giveaway...not that I wanted that mouse but hey, maybe a different one would have worked better.
I couldn't select individual units for shit with that mouse

That sucks about the mouse, so far I haven't had any issues though I still haven't decided if I like it more or less than my Abyssus. What's wrong with the mouse though? Accuracy, skipping?

Nice review! i prefer the ultimate edition though as it has backlighting on all the keys and it has a better finish so the finger print problem is no more! you can read my review here at Razer Blackwidow Review
