I think I can safely predict that it will last a while. However, two things I dislike. First, the font on the keys is stupid. I don't need something blocky and futuristic to feel like a gamer. I wish it was something just standard. Second, I am punching the wrong buttons all the time, mainly when playing sc. I'm sure I will adapt but I didn't expect it to be this bad. The addition of macros keys on the right side really throws me off, I am always one key too far to the right. Nevertheless, awesome keyboard, switches feel great. I just ended up getting this keyboard and I love it. The response is awesome however I did notice that the quicker your APM is the better quality response you get, when I start slacking and playing slower the MX Blue double tap comes in. HOWEVER: Those FREAKING macro keys on the left, Im thinking about removing them completely, at least the M5 key. I keep hitting it thinking that its CTRL. Also the ESC button now feels out of position because of the extra side macro keys. I wish they sold this keyboard without the macro keys. I just played my first game with it and I must say I did absolutely terrible. I'm used to an old OEM HP keyboard that came with one of my first computers many years about. The gap between these key's are so small and I'm sure it will benefit me in the long run but for now its really really frustrating me. Also for some reason I feel as if the keys themselves are smaller, but obviously its my imagination. As for the F1,F2,etc keys being repositioned....i was jsut about to type seems useless, but just remembered my counter strike days and boy would that have been an awesome time to have this layout. Im debating either: 1. Remove the M1,M2,M3,M4,M5 keys for now until I get used to the keyboard. 2. Order a Das from Amazon, or Filcos. 3. Changing the M5 key to multi task as CTRL, but that would screw me up in the end I think. 4. Live, learn, prosper. P.S. Anyone elses backspace seem to be a bit rough. And everyone in my family hates me at the moment because I'm sitting at the living room table typing this and the clicking is insane but being able to have that audible response makes me type faster I feel, and the feedback I get is a great feeling. However the misclicks are pretty intense right now, like I said, this is an hour old though. My 2cents, worth $130? (I got ultimate cause thats all they had at Best Buy and I had a $50 gift card), uhmmmmm, ya definitely because its so mainstream (razer) and it will introduce people to mechanical keyboards and its brand-name for U.S.A. (I bought the Anansi in the meantime since the blackwidow was backordered, and was going to just return it when I went to pick up my blackwidow, I opened it, used it for 10 minutes, put it back in the box and it sat there for 3 days in my car until I passed Best Buy 2 days ago. (ya backordering the blackwidow took sooo long :-( But, Anansi, worst keyboard ever unless your a macro maniac, but I dont see why you wouldnt go for thw G19 or G510)

I'm a huge fan of removing the macro keys and putting a strip of electric tape to cover the lights.

I had a Lycosa Mirror before the Blackwidow Ultimate and the differece for typing its huuuuuge. Mechanical keys are so good to type. To clean i use a microfibber towel almost everyday
