Unfortunately these seem to be out of stock just about everywhere. It is best to use a 4 1/2 inch Hole saw with a drill attachment." is it easily done? from http://www.overclock.net/t/880913/the-official-lian-li-pc-a05-club I don't think it's necessary for 7870s but it should be pretty easy to do regardless if you've worked with power tools before.

I actually would, just because I'd want to keep some of the heat away from the drive bays. Just err on the side of caution. I know there's some good case modding suppliers out there if you want something more than just a fan grill.

It is unofficially the best graphics card out there, my question is; What is the cheapest you could build a computer with a 680 whilst not bottlenecking performance in any which way.

Computers run programs. You should be focusing on the best performance for the programs you want to run, not building around one piece of hardware. Even ignoring that, your question is literally unanswerable. The concept of 'bottlenecking' performance is mostly just flawed, and even its few valid applications depend on knowing what software you're talking about running.

My plan is to buy the parts seperately from an online store and build it together myself. However, we can't say for sure if everything is as good as it could be without knowing pricing of those and of alternatives. Thanks for the fast reply. The whole packet will cost around 990 US$ (porto included). I need a new one mainly for diablo3 and maybe sc2 - I hope to be able toplay both games on max settings with this setup. (my old one only runs shit like diablo1, sc1 ... ^^)

I don't need it right now, but I don't know of any major product releases or that sort. What is your resolution? I will be using 2 monitors, the primary is 1920x1080. What are you using it for? I will be using it mainly for StarCraft 2 and hd (1080p) streaming with web cam and mic. I am looking for a pc that can handle even tough (like team games) situations with the graphics maxed. What is your upgrade cycle? I have a relatively slow upgrade cycle, not quite sure as of right now but i would like to keep it running a couple of years and with upgrades along the way (Ram, SLI, OC) When do you plan on building it? I plan on ordering and building it in April Do you plan on overclocking? Yes, but not that much (have never done it before, advice needed) Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire? No but I will upgrade when needed (is this possible and practical with this build?) Where are you buying your parts from? Hardwareversand.de , If any one has better sites that ship to Denmark please let me know. This site seems cheap and has decent reviews

@tenacity: By the end of April, you could have Ivy Bridge and a 7-series motherboard instead for pretty much the same cost. This would give you slightly more CPU performance and native USB3, both of which are probably not that important. Also GPU costs could come down a little bit. It looks like the High Current Gamer 520W is priced a little bit high. There may be alternatives like XFX Core Edition or Super Flower Amazon 450W for cheaper (or some from Be Quiet! and some others) or the significantly superior Super Flower Golden Green 400W or 450W for not much more. Lian-Li Lancool K58 is a little bit priced high. If you don't particularly like the K58, something like BitFenix Shinobi may be similar quality for a little less. But nothing really sticks out. @Shadowfax: Again I don't see the point of building with a Crossfire upgrade path, considering the games you're looking at and a slow upgrade cycle. By the time you want to upgrade graphics, HD 7850 is going to be trash compared to what's currently available. And you certainly don't even need an HD 7850 now for SC2 on 1920x1080. I'm not sure what the 16GB of RAM is for either.

I am planning to upgrade AMD 6870 to 500+-e prize range graphic card so I guess the best solution will be GTX 680. Problem to me is always which version should I choose and since it's pretty new release should I wait for other versions to pop out or just go buy one now? Also since the current memory in the 680 is 2gb, will there be 3gb/4gb versions and if there will be how much +cost will they add? I am sorry if my most questions are ones that doesn't have answers, but if you do know I'd be glad to know. Thank you!
