Crucial M4 uses a Marvell controller and is well regarded for its performance, reliability, and price. The Sandisk uses a first generation Sandforce controller which has all sort of issues so its definitely not recommended unless you want to deal with potential headaches.
The Rosewill Capstone 450 is by far one of the best choices for a single card configuration and it will run an overclocked 2500k and GTX 560 Ti 448 with plenty of headroom.
The Asrock P67 Pro3 is currently sold out on Newegg or else I'd recommend that. The MSI P67A G43 would be the next board I'd suggest: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130583
HAF 912 is a very spacious case. It has clearance for ~15 inch cards once the HDD cage is removed. So having two storage drives, any card on the market is no problem for the case. Even without the HDD cage removed, the case still has room for 10.5" long cards so a GTX 560 Ti 448 shouldn't be an issue since the card is only about 9 inches in length.
The input lag on the U2212HM is significantly higher than that on the U2312HM. I don't think it's a problem but some others might.
If you want a GTX 560 Ti 448, I'd go for the Twin Frozr III: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127615 If you're getting a GTX 560 Ti, I'd get the EVGA -KR: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130623

Okay, used the last 50 pages of thread and some other looking about, here is the build I have set up. (almost) Looking for critique/feedback and a motherboard recommendation before I finalize.

SSD: crucial m4 ct128m4ssd2 OR sandisk ultra sdssh-120g-g25
PSU: Rosewill CAPSTONE Series CAPSTONE-450 450W Continuous
DVD drive:ASUS 24X DVD Burner
monitor: ultrasharp U2212HM

notes
Cpu/heatsink/memory seem pretty locked in. I don't know why I would go with anything else.
gpu- I'm a little irrational on this point, I don't want a Radeon card. Any thoughts on whether it's worth it to go for the 448 core version for about $40 more? It sounds like they are really big physically, dunno if it would fit easily in case choice. Also looking for any insight on manufacturer; EVGA being the default choice I guess, but I really don't have a base preference.
motherboard: I don't really know where to go here. A lot of these specifications mean fuck-all to me. I don't know the meaningful difference between *67 and *68 boards, or which manufacturer has the best track record.. every board I look up has some degree of complaint, no clear winners. I will be overclocking CPU and possibly GPU once I do the research on it.
SSD: These are new to me. Can anyone explain the dif in price between crucial m4 and Sandisk Ultra? Is it just the read speed, or am I missing something here?
PSU: just from recommendation in thread. Will an overclocked 2500k + 560ti (possibly 448 core) + rest run without issue on the rosewill 450?
monitor: I dislike TN viewing angles, so I thought I would try this. $219 on the dell site, seemed very reasonable. Let me know if there's anything inherently wrong with this choice.
Case: This seemed fine to me, just let me know if there are any spacing problems with other components that I am not seeing.
speakers: I don't know anything about speakers.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Pretty much a perfect response, thanks! ^.^
As a point of curiosity- I looked up the reported input lag on those two monitor types. ~0.6ms vs ~25ms.. any idea why the hell that difference exists within 2 of the same generation monitors? Why is the U2312HM so much better than the rest? /confused
