Its another of those ricer gamer cases with a billion pointless fan mounts and "features". On December 16 2011 21:15 tryclops wrote: has anybody purchased an item from EVGA's B stocks? I assume there is probably some defect with the part; however, the price reduction and warranty is somewhat reasonable. edit: also that dual display is really sexy. B stock seems like refurbished stock. 90 day warranty is expected on such hardware. It should be fine and EVGA's customer service is still miles better than the scrubs from MSI and Gigabyte. You'll just probably have to pay for shipping and so forth. Also, that dual display is awful. I can tell you that because its using 17" monitors, they're awful and old.

I want to put together a computer for gaming purpose only. Since I don't really know anything about computers I was wondering if I could get some help with it. My screen resolution will be 2560x2040 and I plan to have it for as long as possible. My budget is 6000 crowns, which is 860ish dollars and 660ish euros. I just want the computer (no mouse no monitor etc) except for the CD-reader. The only other requirment is that the harddrive is a relatively cheap SSD maybe 60gig. Any chance someone could help me out? P.s let me know if you need to know something more. Thanks

Edit: Build quality is fine. Superflower has some decently constructed cases even through they just look so budget. The case is only as noisy as the hardware you put in it. For $130, there are better cases to look at.

Maybe a gift card for a 7970 or something but the card itself probably wont be shippable until the 9th. I would totally take a gift card for one though. EDIT: If the 3 watts thing is true then my system will only pull like 18 watts total CPU+GPU combined With a max of about 40 watts when doing things like browsing the web and whatnot. That strikes me as very convenient.

My budget is between $1,000-$1,300 US. I don't know too much about common gaming resolution, though I know 1280 X 1024 and 1600 X 1200 are frequently used. I don't really have a preference so long as I'm maximizing what I get for my money. It will be used primarily for gaming(SC2 obviously) and personal use, and I don't intend to stream or encode. I would like something that could support a 2 monitor set up. No plans to over clock, and I do need an OS, so subtract whatever Windows 7 is going for currently from my budget. I live in the US so I have access to stores as well as newegg.com and the like. I appreciate all feed back, and thanks in advance!

resolution, with the industry beginning to favor 16 .For an idea of what you want you can check out the first page of this thread for excellent information. Then perhaps supplement it with this one: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=271861 Right off the bat though I can say that you won't be spending close to $1000 on a computer if you do not want to stream or overclock. Someone is going to suggest an i5-2500, an H61 or close motherboard, and either a 560ti or maybe up to a Radeon HD 6950 or video while mentioning that AMD is launching a new video card line on the 22nd (see above in this thread). Also we have a questionnaire format thats mentioned in the stick of this forum and probably this thread as well and we like it when posters adhere to it. So it gives us the BEST angle on how to build for you. EDIT: Mmmm now that i think of it if we are having to pick a monitor and OS the pricetag will probably hit $1k. Dunno why I forgot about that.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.753182 The PSU concerns me the most. I want to build a general-use computer for my family (web browsing, homework, nothing too hardcore). It's going to replace a 7+ year old computer, so I want it to last as long as possible. Budget is $400.

Budget is $400. Its not horrible. It doesn't come with am operating system so you better have a copy of Windows 7 lying around. No, don't give your family Linux because they will hate you for it. It'll probably cost a little more than that due to shipping. If you tack on another $50 (so $450), you can buy a PC from Dell. Not only does this mean you get Dell's warranty, it also means it'll come in a box to your parent's doorstop.
