And the other is quiet because, well it has fkn foam but has a questionable front door. I don't need the door that much. But are 3 120mm fans enough for cooling an OC 2500k and an OC GTX460 that vents inside the case? Ambient temps I can see ranging 65-80 throughout the year I like both of the cases.

But I'm not sure about the front panel, I didn't see it mentioned in the reviews I read. Because reviews never cover anything substantial - most of these guys get shipped a case and all they do look at it (I'm somewhat convinced TechPowerUp doesn't even turn their cases on). Some might put a system inside the computer, run the occasional test, and write some shitty review about it. Very few use it for a sustainable amount of time (i.e month), if they did all of them would have found out about the Antec Solo's utterly pathetic power switch. The P183 fits 10.5" long GPUs perfectly, have you used or seen one before? If for whatever reason you need more room, take the hard drive cage out. Ambient temps I can see ranging 65-80 throughout the year I like both of the cases. Overclocking and noise reduction doesn't go hand in hand - noise dampening just dampens the noise but if the internal components are bloody loud, you can't do much about reducing the noise. The CPU will be fine inside the P183 but the GTX460 will get rather loud if you're pushing a lot of voltage inside it. Though if you don't need the top two hard drives, you can clip a 120mm fan onto the hard drive cage to create a GPU air duct. The GTX460 is a really short card so I can't imagine the 120mm fan blocking anything - to provide a frame of reference, I had a reference HD5850 in my old P183 with a Noctua NF-P12 clipped on the hard drive cage.

My card fits fine in both cases. I think...based on the measurements given. Will 3 120mm fans cool an OC 2500k and an OC GTX460 that vents inside the case? Ambient temps 65-80

And yes, three (four if you're using the hard drive fan clips) 120mm fans is enough to cool a single overclocked GPU and CPU. I've ran an overclocked HD5850 and i5-750 in an Antec P183 without any problems during the Australian summer (40C = ~100F).

My Budget for a new computer would be at 1000-1500 preferrably. My current screens resolution is 1920 x 1200 and I’ll be using it for gaming, photoshopping, a medium amount of video encoding, and will most likely branch out into streaming eventually (Overkill I know). My upgrade cycle is normally 2 years however my current computers are on their 3rd year. It will most likely take me around 5-6 months to have saved up enough for a new build. I know nothing of overclocking so I won’t try and I don’t need a new OS. I’ll probably be looking to add a second agraphics card eventually for SLI as well. I do not need a hard drive as the 2 internal drives I have are still good. This is my first attempt at a real “build” all my other builds have been just adding upgrades to a machine a friend built me, so I do not have any idea of where tog et the parts for a good price. Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to help me. I really appreciate it.

Hard drive mounting is still by far the best in the industry (very thick gooey silicon mounts), weights a lot and uses silicon feet instead of rubber so vibrations will be rare, uses a three layer design for the side panels that absorbs vibrations much better than the cheap foam crap most people pass off as sound dampening material, and has good indirect air intakes that reduces noise and doesn't restrict air. Only things that suck are the included fans, you have to open the door to access the power button, and its size. Antec TriCools are not very good fans and its close to being as large as an actual full tower. On October 29 2011 15:53 Xan09 wrote: Hello, I’m a complete noob here when it comes to builds. As you probably know, computer hardware moves extremely quickly so half the stuff we suggest to you now might not actually exist in 5-6 months time or be rendered obsolete by better hardware.

I'm running an overclocked 4850 on a 300w bronze PSU with 240w max 12V output no problem, so I'd say that you don't really need a huge PSU, especially considering that 4850 consumption is very high.

It'll probably maintain 60 fps in 1080p SC2 on low should run diablo3 on lowest as well. And yeah you'd be able to play music while playing SC2, I can do that on my single core Athlon x64 4000+ with a GT420. If 6450 seems too low to you, read this for ideas: http://www.techspot.com/review/392-budget-gpu-comparison/

I thought SC2 was a really processor dependant game, so was thinking an i3. But doing it this cheap is pretty cheap, if its gonna perform well too
