A quick google tells me I wouldn't want to buy anything from Ebuyer regardless if it's actually fraud. I'd trust your banks judgement and find some other place to buy your stuff.

Edit: I just want to add that this was a 2 minute google search so don't take my word for it.

Hey, what's the deal with Toshiba SSD controllers? Are they more reliable than SandForce? They at least seem to be dirt cheap.

The recommendations are extremely strange anyway. They recommend pixmania...??

Could also add computeruniverse.net, that thing's pretty awesome

Can someone recommend me a relatively cheap Blu-ray / DVD player in UK. Do not need it to write.

Which? Traditionally, Apple uses Toshiba SSDs, Samsung too these days. I suppose that means they're okay. See here:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/4275/apple-now-using-samsung-ssds-in-macbook-air

If something's really cheap, maybe it's really old or doesn't even support TRIM or something like that. (On a side note, Macs were late with TRIM support.)

I'm not sure much about them though.

I've heard people have more troubles with scan than ebuyer but whatever.

This maybe? Check what software is bundled if you have any intention of playing Blu-Ray movies.

Samsung SH-B123L/BSBP - £43.98
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-SH-B123L-BSBP-Blu-ray-Software/dp/B003XIM3QK/

on scan it's £40.78

Only a little, but check the power draw on them, they can pull a fairly significant chunk of current by standards of "not CPU or GPU".

That's the main concern. Also, they can be a bitch to install sometimes. Look at case modding forums and see which ones are popular.

Yeah, for individual tubes, the amperage requirement is pretty low, but it pulls off the +12v rail, so if you're pushing it there, they can be iffy.

Wires can't handle it, otherwise, a decent one probably has the actual output amperage.

Hmm, nevermind, car batteries seem to dump more amps than I thought, for cold crank.

There are some decent cases around £50 such as the Coolermaster HAF 912 and BitFenix Shinobi.

How much power your configuration needs depends on the parts... but if the 430w power supply you have is a good model such as the Antec Earthwatts 430D than it will be adequate for a Sandybridge + ~$200 card.

Quick question: Why is it that I don't have the Windows 7 feature "Snap"? Is it because I have a pirated copy of Windows?

I need some help in determining gfx card on my new build (a computer for my uncle). Apparently he has a 2560x1440 screen that he wants to run BF3 on (with good graphics settings i presume).
Are there any new graphics cards coming out soon? I heard someone say Q42011 but I can't find much info on it online (ATI 7000 series?)
If current prices stand, should I get a GTX 570, 580 or maybe 2 ATI 6950 in CF?
What would be enough to run smoothly on that screen? The budget isnt that big, I basically have somewhere around 300~400$ for the graphics card alone.
I'm taking whatever coverage I can get, because frankly, I'm busy working on this million dollar deal at my job. Early retirement is a good thing brotha man. - MessengerASL

I can't imagine a 570 having trouble.

But if you're considering pure raw power, and ignoring all the other factors that come with multi-GPU, out of the three options you listed, CFX6950 will basically destroy the other two options.

Really doubt you need that much though.

Assuming this is correct, and a worst case scenario, unless you really like placebo effect, a single 570 or 6970 should do you fine.
