Try describing it again, in English. Or pictures. Right now this makes something like zero sense.

it has a pluggy in thing (with "girl bits") that plugs into the motherboards spikes labelled audio, (the "guy bits") this is labbeled HDA (HD audio) coming out the back of that pluggy in bit, is more audio cables. this leads to more "girl bits" labelled PCI- E which due to the layout, can only plug into the "guy bits" called audio. Im computer retarded, if im making less sense, ill pictures

Use the HDA ones to connect to your motherboard. Seriously, that was a much better description of the problem, lots of terribly un-technical words can string together into something that makes sense.

okay where do i plug the power turn on cables? theres 2 cables with 2 girl bits each, labelled POWER SW, and RESET SW then another cable with 2 girl bits labelled H.D.D. LED Then 2 cables with 1 girl bit each, one labelled POWER LED + the other POWER LED -

What is your budget? Around $900 - $1000 - although I'd prefer something on the lower end of that spectrum. What is your resolution? 1920x1080 What are you using it for? Looking mainly into video editing, streaming, and gaming on the side. What is your upgrade cycle? 3-4 years When do you plan on building it? Within the month Do you plan on overclocking? Yep! Do you need an Operating System? No Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire? Don't really see the benefits at the moment, I can be swayed if it's actually preferable. Where are you buying your parts from? Newegg, Amazon Notes: Pretty much I'm looking for a computer that can handle editing in Sony Vegas, FruityLoops, and Photoshop. My setup will eventually include a 22-23 inch monitor, and a generic Dell monitor (not entirely sure what the name is, but it's not widescreen), and finally a 30 inch Samsung TV hooked up via HDMI. I'd like to do some gaming on the side - hoping for a build that can easily blaze through some future games beyond SC2. Parts I already have: Asus OEM DvD/CD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204 Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148262 Xigmatek Gaia http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233082 Thanks in advance!

Different manufacturers like to use different colour schemes for different models so it's all usually a mess. The rest of the computer should be pretty intuitive, meaning if it fits, it's in the right spot. I don't believe it matters whether you align the positives and the negatives correctly. As long as they're both in, it should be fine.

Why would you only OC to 3.7? Waste of a 2500k. Get any thermal paste, the difference is irrelevant to anybody who's asking about it here. A $25 CPU cooler like a Hyper 212+ or Xigmatek Gaia will work fine if you have room in your case.

Because a lot of comments I see act as if you cannot overclock the 2500 at all, if 3.7 would work with a 2500 and I could save money then so be it. (The main reason is I am trying to preserve its life span and don't wanna fuck up the new computer I have been planning for almost 2 years) Will the CoolerMaster Elite 430 with 1 graphics card fit the fan on average?

My computer freezes for around 3-5 seconds. This only happens sometimes when I start up Firefox, sometimes when I create a new tab in Firefox, and finish a game of Heroes of Newerth. It doesn't happen often. I'm assuming it's loading or something, but I'm worried. The computer also makes a small loading noise when it does this. Any ideas what it could be? I was thinking maybe the hard drive. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The Hyper 212 + is $50 on Newegg =O, for a 0.4 gHz overclock, would this cheap fan do the job: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103061 I can probably use the saved money from the 2500k on that.
