Entirely different products. CPU cooler includes a heatsink. Xigmatek Gaia should be ~$30, and is good for a light OC. The RAM is overpriced for tiny gains, and I mean tiny. You don't need heat spreaders on your memory, either. You should just get a cheap 1333Mhz CL9 1.5v RAM kit for ~$32.

No. It's an upgrade disk, so you need a licensed copy of 64 bit Vista or XP pre-installed to use it.

My bad. Very interesting though. In my defense, “To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. Upon upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software you upgraded from. After you upgrade, you may no longer use the software you upgraded from.”

If it is $30 for a fan for a LIGHT upgrade then I do not think it is worth the money of overclocking, just thought it would be cool. Should I stay at a P67 to be budgetly-future proof (OC) or just stay at an H67 atm? It would be great to save money now, but I do not want to regret in the future either. And what are standoffs?

Standoffs are the golden screws on your case that you install the motherboard on top of.

They won't necessarily turn on by jumping them unless there's a load attached to power.

After the $20 MIR it's all of $5 dollars more. I just built a machine and placed an order today through NCIX. You should try them, they will price match any cost you find and I got free shipping. I was using Newegg till I found it all cheaper there.

It's of higher quality and provides basically the same amount of power: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026 The core i5 2500 already overclocks itself to 3.7GHz (Turbo Boost) btw so you aren't overclocking at all. If that's the case, just get a H61 or H67 motherboard. If you're not going to overclock past 4.2GHz than you don't need the K variant of the 2500 as the regular 2500 can be overclocked to 4.1GHz. NCIXUS will not pricematch and shipping can be quite expensive since it's shipping from BC or Ontario to the states. I am selling a computer to some rich dude, and I actually got away with this deal, though I am not sure if it benefits me. Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 gHz Locked Mobo that can't Overclock 4 GB DDR2 ATI 5670 1 GB Windows 7 64-Bit Ultimate Pirated 300 GB HDD I am selling it for $550, and he is paying me $45 for 12 months. He thought my computer was godly because it ran Maplestory and Soldier Front smoothly with iTunes and Skype in the background. How much am I making out of this?
