Now if someone wanted a well-balanced completely over the top insane build, I'm totally their man. I can recognize weak links in a build, and put together good builds, but I don't do so well at maximum cost effectiveness.

![]() kr. 6.569,00 ($1239...wow that's a lot, even considering European prices and VAT) SSDs are very nice but won't improve in-game performance, just loading. And if you're playing a multiplayer game, you still need to wait for other people to load. If you really want to go all out on hardware you probably won't be taking advantage of, the "Advanced" category has an HD 6970 option.

I'd say it fits the bill for a crazy over the top build, with few cost restraints.

(Might fit? Never messed with one) That comes out to ~$790 or ~$860 depending on RAM so far. Storage, just grab what you need pretty much. For the CPU cooler, loathe as I am to suggest it, a Corsair water cooler might be a good idea, since you're not going to have much clearance for RAM with an air cooler. I grabbed the low voltage memory since you said you wanted to OC RAM, and the motherboard choice was pretty much based on memory slots. PSU I'm not going to pretend to know more than Myrm. I may have missed some detail, I had to hop up a couple times to chase my kid down.

But the percentage will of course vary from country to country.

People here like to use hardwareversand(shipping costs €17,50 to denmark), which is allso has an option for english. The prices will probably be a lot better compared to denmark. However, you'll have less payment options and their service is rather poor, specially towards people that dont speak/write german. [edit] Was bored, so to compare prices: i5 2400 - €152,24 ASRock H61M-VS - €43,85 There allso is a usb 3 version of this motherboard for 17 euro more. 8GB-Kit DDR3 Exceleram - €46,91 XFX RADEON HD 6870 - €141,72 Samsung EcoGreen F3 1TB - €41,88 Samsung SH-222AB - €17,25 Cooler Master Elite RC-334 - €34,38 be quiet! Pure Power 530W - €56,81 Which makes a total of 535,64 + 17,50 for shipping. Which is 4124.50 DDK in total. You can probably get some better components, since the site lacks a proper filter(And psu is under Case accessories, really?), the assortment is rather limited and im lazy. Allso added a random cheap case, you might want to change that.

$300-$400 What is your resolution? 1650x1280 What are you using it for? Mainly Starcraft II, I want to be able to run it either high or medium graphics settings and have a constant frame rate. What is your upgrade cycle? About 4 years. When do you plan on building it? Probably in a week from now. Do you plan on overclocking? No. Do you need an Operating System? No. Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire? No. Where are you buying your parts from? Ncix Canada I have a 300 watt power supply already and a medium sized tower, I would prefer if the build can be built around my already owned items. Thanks in advance.

OEM doesn't come with Microsoft support, which nobody uses anyways. It's the version for computer manufacturers to bundle, and with that comes the expectation that they support it.

What's your power supply brand and model? Failing that, report everything it says about total power and +12V / +5V / +3.3V amps. NCIX sales reset every Wednesday, so I don't think there's a point to setting up a build now unless you're going to order it very soon. Well, on that budget and if you want to maintain higher frame rate, you're probably going to end up with like a Core i3-2100 and HD 5670 or other lower-power video card anyway, so most likely even a poor 300W unit could handle that kind of configuration.

No need unless operating systems break when you look at them. And even then... who uses MS support? I don't think I've actually ever called them...
