sorry, this should work, just to give an idea of the prices of parts in singapore. don't be olbiged to check though, i pretty much know what i want. For reference: 1 Singapore dollar = 0.801539 U.S. dollars
Anyone know if it's possible to buy just the cases of say dell, hp or alienware PCs, they're nice and shiny.
I also like the Asrock H61M U3S3, anyone know about that? Maybe i should get a msi, asus or gigabyte board?

Well these pricing sucks so much you indeed found the best deals, but hell these prices....

If I am getting a graphics card, should I not care about the integrated graphics in CPU anymore?
|
Integrated doesn't matter if you are getting a graphics card.

Seasonic X460FL OR Super-Flower SF500P14FG? ASUS Maximus V GENE OR Asrock Extreme-4 M? (Sapphire) 7850 OR Reference 6950?
So many choices

I know for sure that AMD Cpu's are pretty bad compared to Intel CPU's. But my mobo allows only amd gpus and cpus to be installed on there so.... amd cpu's are my only choice.
Someone please tell me, will my phenom x4 965 BE be bottlenecked by my 7970?

It might be an AM3 board, but that doesn't mean you are limited to AMD GPUs, it's only the CPU. And yes, a 965 will bottleneck a 7970 in singlethreaded games, but if you OC to 4ghz it's usually good enough not to be noticeable. If you for some reason need to stay on the AM3 platform, a 1100 T (Thuban) would be slightly more defendable, but unfortunately they stopped producing them. But it's pointless to get a 7970, might as well get a 78xx and switch platform if you're so concerned about CPU bottlenecks.

Sorry, but do I need a like an extra cooling system to overclock or will I be okay with the stock fans?
|
1100T would not be an upgrade over a 965 for gaming... overclocking would be, assuming the motherboard is robust enough to handle an overclock. And of course you'd need some aftermarket cooling.
965 won't hold back a 7970 too badly in most games. Starcraft 2 yes, Skyrim yes, but many others not really that much, especially if overclocked. But then the question is: why get a HD 7970? Do you have a high resolution monitor or 120Hz?
|
I dont have a high resolution monitor only 60 ghz... But i bought the 7950 instead actually because i saw no point in purchasing something more expensive that would give almost same performance. I got 7950 so i could max out all games

i can just tell you this: get a third party cooler.
i had a 955 and in short its crap. it cools bad and gets SUPER loud. like leafblower right in your face loud.
and ofc if you want to overclock you need one anyways. and you do want to overclock if you go amd since like all of them are unlocked and you can get quite the extra bit performance that way.

K thanks you. Any recommendations for coolers that are compatible with my cpu?

cooler master hyper 212 is good and should be quite cheap.
if you have room for it in your case the HR-02 Macho is awesome and shouldnt be that expensive either.
/edit just checked, macho is just 3 mm higher so that shouldnt make a huge difference.

what pc part could be responsible for preventing bootup? motherboard? because I have the ASUS P5N72-T Premium one, and there are some bad reviews about it so that could be it. I'm thinking about buying a $50 motherboard. is that a wise decision?

If anyone can help: I rmaed my defective motherboard to Newegg, Newegg has received it. But jsut today i was checking my rma status and i found some additional instructions in my email. Apparently i had to print an identification label(never saw that notice) So do i have to expect some major delay???

Motherboard. Power Supply. CPU. RAM. ???

In most cases if you did not indicate RMA # on your package, the retailer will refuse delivery of the package.

I put my rma number on it(many places actually).
The email was about printing a barcode for the rma number. which i did not do

If that's the case than it'll probably just be a slower process since it has to be done manually.
