In many situations I am not really all that concerned where i get my product from, as long as it is the quality i want. And all other things being semi equal I would prefer to get my products from a company supporting the things I like. I think it would be a small but nice way to show appreciation for these companies supporting starcraft. And who knows it might even help people thinking of starting tournaments find sponsors more easily. And they would be able to link to the thread of a very high traffic website for a small added incentive.

The audio quality isn't as good, but I don't need that.. I have my 5.1 logitech set for music. I love this Fatality headset, so comfortable and no sweaty feeling. I just brought a second pair for use out of the office. Highly recommend them.

I have a Lachesis which is awesome, a lycosa that sucks, and had a Barracuda that shitted out after like 3 days that they wouldn't replace. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Plantronics - GameCom 377 Over-the-Head Stereo Headset/8978403.p?id=1218004379967&skuId=8978403&st=plantronics headset&cp=1&lp=6 This headset is actually really awesome, I have it now. It has insane noise reduction, the sound is REALLY good, and if you know someone who works at bestbuy its only like 25$. Either way, as a cheap headset, its awesome, especially if you have big ears like me :D

They have done close to a years worth of firmware updates and still not been able to completely remove the terrible mic noise and random audio cut outs that force you to re plug the device and kill any programs to recognize the change. If you really want to get a razor get the cheaper version (2channel instead of 7 channel) that looks identical. The actual speakers are the same in both headsets and this one costs about half as much if you can find it. (the 7 channel feature isn't useful at all for starcraft2, and is just simulated with firmware on the device.) The quality is good, but you're still paying for looks even with that one (and tbh you will look pretty cool with this thing on your head if that's important to you). the headset is shockingly light, it never gets hot because it's well ventilated, however that is a trade off with sound quality. There are two types of over ear sets, those that intend to completely isolate your ears (higher heat, greatly decrease outside sound sources, higher sound quality, vs better ventilation, ability to hear things coming from outside, and compromised sound quality) choose which is better suited for you. If you have one and are using vista /win7 I'm told if you get a self powered USB hub you might resolve the problem but I haven't confirmed that my self. Since the problem has to do with insufficient power, it might very well fix the problem.

They are flimsy and crap. A sturdy pro gaming headset that is cheap, i would reccomend the speedlink medusa 5.1 i think they are called, a lot of bang for buck. If you want to be more creative then go for the new creative gaming headphones but they are fairly expensive i do believe. Avoid gear made 'for gamers' in general because its a lot higher price than the quality you get. Go for studio headphones and a desktop mic if you want to have sturdy headphones that will last.

Best headset ever as far as comfort goes, and they look amazing as well. The sound is fine, though my needs as an SC player are less exacting than those of an FPS gamer. I had a 5H V2 before this, and the Siberia v2 is definitely the better option.

It all depends on what you want really. I assume you want comfort, clarity, audio quality and noise reduction.
