One of these days I will save up and buy a CM Storm Sirus. Until then I'm just going to keep using the ozone Attack, which is a pretty good and cheap headset in my opinion.

Razer Orca's were good when I first got them, but eventually the cord wears out. You could do better for the same amount of money. In addition. they lack a mic.

I personally prefer the Orca's over the Siberia ones, but that could just be me.

Edit- I just find the Orca's more comfortable, durable, and generally have a little better sound quality. I'm not terribly hot and bothered for a mic as I have a RazerBlade laptop, but if a mic is a deal breaker- go with the V2 (or just get a $10 table stand mic and the orcas)

If you go without a mic, you can do better for 50 dollar headphones. Check out the Audiophile thread thread for suggestions.

Looking for something similar to the Siberias V2 except more durable. The mic stopped working after a few months and the rest of the headset fell apart a few months later. I don't care about audio quality, the most important things I'm looking for are retractable or detachable mic and comfort. Not looking to spend more than $150.

i tried these for a couple of weeks. theyre honestly a really good headset, but they were so unbelievably tight/heavy on my head i got headaches after minutes. my heads not particularly big so I found that really strange. sent them back. if they fit you theyre well worth the money.

additionally -

i've decided at this point im done with gaming headsets. i want to stick with my sennheisers and get a clip on / desktop mic.

i need something with good clarity and noise cancelling. does anyone have any recommendations? thanks !

I bought SteelSeries Siberia v2 -headset a bit more than a year ago. I like the design and the retractable microphone a lot.

In February, the headphone suddenly died. Got a warranty replacement, which was good until yesterday - now the microphone is dead. My dealer explained that these headsets get an almost unprecedented amount of reclamations because of the twin cords. The cords will entangle over time and break the connectors inside.

I would advise against buying this headset unless you feel like constantly straightening the cords etc. I'll get yet another warranty replacement soon, but no way in hell I'm using that shit ever again.

This will sound crazy when compared to all the high end headsets previously mentioned, but...i was gifted a pair of these Noise Hush N700m's and they are truly excellent -

As I am currently using them I must agree about them constantly tangling for no darn reason. I probably unplug and replug them about 1-3 times a day and at the end of the day I unplug them so that when I wake up I dont have to go through the mess and can just replug them again. None of the headset has died on me yet, but I do see visible damage to the cords from the tangling/untangling, and I do assume that it may break soon. I can say that the headset itself isn't that bad, but I haven't used another pair yet. There are probably better choices, unless you are sponsored by Steelseries and can afford to break as many as you like.

I am debating on which headset should i get, i have two candidates:

- Logitech G930 wireless 120$
- Razer Megalodon 140$

Which is the best? the wireless feature looks pretty neat imo, less cables imo.

Or do you guys know a best headset?

I have had bad experiences with Logitechs support. They never got back to me regarding battery purchases (after 3-4 calls) when they said they would and so on.
I own the F540 and even thought I find it fine, my gf doesnt like it as there is too much pressure on the ears. The device does sometimes 1 time per week lose connection to the computer for 1 or 2 secs and the batterylife isnt as good as advertised.
Im sure the razor is going to have its problems too but that freaking Logitech support.....

I own a set of Steelseries 5hvUSB's, but I find myself using earbuds more and more often. The only reason I find myself using my headset is for the mic. Honestly if anyone is looking for headphones just for listening purposes and you have a good pair of buds, just use them. They are remarkably comfortable for long listening periods, and are nearly as effective at canceling noise as their 100$ counterparts and available for around 20$.
