I have a bad habit of easily breaking my headsets, so I tried going for something a little more expensive (and hopefully durable) last time I got a pair. That was nearly 2 years ago, and these PC350s seem unphased. Surprisingly durable and ridiculously comfortable + more amazing sound than anything else I have. I don't think $130 is really that bad for what you get.

How did you break yours, I've been on the same pair for over 2 years. They're fantastically cheap and have good microphone quality, the fact that the microphone detaches means its LESS likely to break without wires connecting to two dangling parts.

I've gone through around 8 different kinds of headsets looking for the best pair and the nicest so far have been the carcharias from razer. They're really comfortable and light. Also due to how they are made with the wires attaching to the top I don't think they'll break any time soon like so many of my other sets have in the first 6 months.

Best bang for your buck headset IMO, even if they are a bit expensive they are so nice and feel a lot sturdier than other brands.

both steelseries are pretty bad headphones... the 5h lacks bass and the siberias are open ear so be prepared to hear everything around you. if that doesnt bother u then go for siberias

the headphones i use now is a sony mdr-7506 which is closed ear and blocks sound out pretty well, sound quality is also much better then the siberias but also cost a bit more

the sonys can also fold up so its TONS more portable then the siberias..

those are pretty much the 3 i've used and have experience with

Audiotechnica AD700 plus zalman mic
for 100 bucks you get audiophile headphones (with great soundstage) and a cheap mic with really good pickup/reception.

Speedlink Medusa. Sound/mic quality are both excellent, and it actually looks like a headset, as opposed to everything razer has ever made.
Hi there. I'm in a cave, how bout you?

I use the Steelseries 5hv2, I love it and they usually last me a couple to a few years which is nice. They are a little big but they are nice and snug and doesn't hurt to wear it for hours on end.

Not for the person trying to keep it cheap. These headphones block out sound incredibly well. Good enough to play at highly crowded LAN events and not even realize your away from home which is really nice for keeping your focus.

The only issue is that they lack a mic, for this I just use the built in mic with my webcam, its actually a lot nicer than having a clunky plastic thing in front of your face and doesnt look as nerdy .

And the quality you get is worth the money, where as I get the feeling that the gaming headsets are riding a bit more on looks and brand association to get gamers to spend $$'s

Razer Carcharias

got them for my birthday (just over a year ago), extremely comfortable, no issues with mic/sound quality. Nice and sturdy too since they are slightly large. Don't know if they are out of your price range but definitely worth the look.

My i suggest going to a local EB games and looking for a bundle i found. I went looking for a cheap headset and they said assassin's creed 1 and a headset for $70 and i was like "NO", then they scanned it and it said $15 and i was like "ill take it". the headset isn't anything really fancy, headphones and a connected mic, but it does the job quite well. cheap and effective.

On an unrelated note, this is my first post on TL

Siberia's are "meh" on sound, and Sennheisers aren't overpriced at all. Get a good soundcard and you will recognize their quality.

plantronics gamecom is the only way to go. Only $50 and the best headset I've ever bought.
