This isn't like D3 is better than SC2 for me, they both should be amazing, but I guess I'll enjoy single player of SC2 better than multiplayer. | ||

Maybe if D3 had more information out and was closer to release I might feel a bit differently, but that's impossible to say now. That said, its still probably #2 on my most anticipated games. edit: oh and how could I forget ESPORTS! I'm pretty anxious to see how fun it is to watch some super high level players duke it out to see if it compares to the excitement of SC. | ||

I'll most definitely be playing it all the way until d3 is released (ie. late 2010), unless something goes really wrong with the game that I haven't seen yet. However, when both come out, it'll be a tough decision but i'll probably move onto d3. SC2 obviously has the competitive skill factor that d3 will never have, but d3 is a lot more relaxing and laid back. I found it more enjoyable hanging out and playing with friends on d2 than sc from experience. In any case, just hoping to get some other opinions. I don't really know anyone who's played both d2 and sc (and looking forward to sc2 and d3), so they're either really bias or not interested Poll: Are you more excited about D3 or SC2? (Vote): Diablo 3 (Vote): Starcraft 2 Dude... have you forgotten about the map making community that's going to come from Starcraft and Warcraft 3? It's like buying 50 games in one. Starcraft 2's map editor will allow for many relaxing and fun games to be made. Starcraft 2 isn't just all about melee/standard competitive play... don't forget about the UMS stuff, it's a huge component as well. I do love diablo, so I'll play both. | ||

I also question how much of the preference to diablo is simply because it is a newer game that has been played more recently. It is only what, 6 years old maybe? If the games had come out in opposite order, I bet starcraft would beat diablo handily. Furthermore, the hectic pace of starcraft right now will be toned down massively once sc2 comes out. People who want to play half hearted will be able to and still win somtimes. | ||

I don't think diablo 2 being a younger game has anything to do with that, besides it's like 10 years old so it came around the same time as SC anyway. In diablo you have completely different pace, it being a co-op game as opposed to a 1on1 game like SC, so you can't really stop midgame in SC like you can in diablo and just chat, hell you can even chat somewhat during harder parts of diablo, whilst in SC wich relies so much on timings thus makeing diablo more social in a way. Just look at WoW and how popular that is, and it's pretty much an IM-client you have to subscribe too  It's not suprising that the sequel to one of most sold games has some votes on a poll even on a SC-forum imho But the state wich diablo 2 is in right now is hopeless with all the hacking, bots etc, ppl are probably hopeing for a repeat of diablo 2's glory days with D3. Also D3 hasn't seen as many disappointments as SC2 yet (no lan, classic BW units out etc). That being said both games will probably be awesome in completely different ways and ppl probably would vote on both if they could kinda makeing the poll a little wierd | ||
