Hey everyone! We’ve enjoyed a lot of interviews from The Hot Seat over these past few TSLs, but for Shopify TSL 7, we’d love to give an opportunity to the community to ask your questions too. If anyone has questions for the players we’re interviewing for TSL 7, please post them in this thread or tweet them to @TLNet and we’ll pick our favorites! If your question is chosen, we’ll enter you into a raffle to win your very own Secretlab chair once TSL 7 ends!
Remember, we’re looking for fun and unique questions that can be asked during the interviews!
A tsunami is barreling towards you. Do you A) run away in terror B) accept your fate and allow it to consume you or C) Dive right in and try and get on top of it?
Why is he so good at playing on Beckett Industries? Every other Protoss vetoes that map all the time, but he doesn't and has a good winrate on it.
For TIME:
We often don't get to hear a lot about Chinese Starcraft, so which players in the Chinese scene does he think are underrated/up-and-coming?
For Dark or Clem or Cure or SpeCial or TIME or Armani:
How does your team prepare for the World Team League? Do you decide your lineups as a group? Is there a lot of metagaming around who goes on which maps and matches to counter the opposing team's lineup?
Trap: You went from losing many finals in a row to winning all the ones you play, what do you think changed in you?
Cure: We saw you playing great against Reynor and Solar at the Next Masters but in the GSL you lost 3-0 to Ragnarok. Why do you think it is so difficult for you currently to play offline, if we already saw you being a finalist in a GSL?
1) What has been the greatest challenge for you personally when Starcraft transitioned from offline to online play? 2) What difference do you think it has made for tournaments? 3) Who has been most influential to you as a Starcraft player?
More fun ones: 1) What are your favourite snacks while playing Starcraft? 2) Show us your desktop wallpaper (if that's appropriate...) 3) What keyboard/mouse do you use for your setup? 4) What do you do for fun outside of Starcraft? 5) What is your favourite movie/band/TV show for all time?

With Stats gone plus Zest, PartinG and Trap seeing military service on the horizon, are you proud to be labelled the "next Korean Protoss hope?" What kind of pressure does that bring?
For Serral:
You and Maru have gone through stretches of invincibility within your respective regions (and for you globally in 2018) to the point that quarterfinal and even semifinal results are deemed "an off day" for both of you. Is that frustrating or flattering? Maybe both?
When you're golfing, what's the best part of your game? The driver? Fairway irons? Chipping? Putting?
For anyone:
Would you consider anonymously sending in a replay to Harstem for "Is it IMBA or do I suck?"
Which caster would you want on your team in a 2v2/Archon mode?
Reynor practiced for IEM by going 1v5 Archon mode. How many casters would it take on one team to beat someone on the level of Maru/Serral/Clem/Rogue etc?
Rotti just got his carrier statue. What's his next purchase and why should it be a custom built Phoenix?
You win a tournament, and instead of a cash prize/trophy you win an unlimited supply (soup-lie) of one gaming accessory (mouse, headphones, speakers...). What are you hoping it is?
Classic and herO are coming back soon, and DRG, ByuN, Armani and others have proven it's possible to get back to being relevant in SC2 while some have struggled and others have full blown retired after returning. Thoughts on how well they'll do?
Personally here are some questions that I am very curious to hear pros discuss 0. "What games did you grow up on?" 1. "What affirms you? What helps you feel empowered?" 2. "What does your process for improvement look like?" 3. "When you look at a game state, what stands out to you? What variables feel relevant?" 4. "How do you navigate relying on muscle memory while also actively considering what you're doing?" 5. "How do you deal with tilt?" 6. "What goes through your head when you lose an entire mineral line?" 7. "Who are the players who have inspired your play?" 8. "Would you consider yourself to be a mindful person?" 9. "How comfortable are you with chaos? How do you navigate uncertain situations? How do you ground yourself and gain your bearings when you're unsettled?" 10. "How do you navigate the balance between Starcraft and life?" 11. "Do you feel like you're good at Starcraft?" "When did you start feeling like you were good at Starcraft?" 12. "How has getting really good at this really hard game affected your approach to life?" 13. "Starcraft is a very humbling game, how do you deal with feelings of being bad or inadequate at such a complex game?" 14. "What advice would you give to someone who wants to improve things for everyone?" 15. "How do people get more involved in the community?" 16. "What goes through your head when you feel like you're about to quit?" 17. "What advice would you give to a friend to help them surpass you?" 18. "Have you seen Alphabet/Google/Deepmind's AlphaStar project? What do you think about it? Are AI's coming for Starcraft or will terran hold strong?" 19. "Would you like to ally with the robots and use advanced AIs as practice partners to improve at the game?" 20. "What's a book you've enjoyed? Why did it draw your attention? What about it spoke to you?" 21. "How do you think we can welcome more people to this game we all love?"
To anyone: 1. Since the rebirth of TSL, would you think foreigners are going to take this one or would the koreans take another tsl win? 2. After quarantine, where would you want TSL to be hosted and want would you want to try in that country? 3. What will you do with the money once you win TSL. 4. If given a chance, would you want to cast TSL and who would you want to cast with?
