There's no real point in letting him play the Ro16 if he can't play the Ro8.

There's still no official word. This issue has been talked about since IEM Katowice. If nothing else Blizzard would have had ample time to look into making travel for Classic possible. But we still haven't heard more than guesses. And I mean maybe he gets drafted right after the Super Tournament and the question answers itself, who knows? We don't.

So, Classic can still play and the remaining two spots will be fought fiercely among Stats, TY, Dear and Ragnarok themselves.
What will Rogue do to Stats since he admittedly say Stats helped him as training partner?

if the group stages are at the gsl studio does this mean we're gonna get gsl production for Blizzcon??

Hopefully, Stats will win and get precious WCS points!

Dear isn't gonna do any fighting. herO is in jeopardy though.

Would also be unfair if then he had to give up his spot in the Ro8 if he advances from the group stage because it's no longer in Korea. And this is still under the assumption the military doesn't draft him in before the Global Finals start.
Also don't the players outside of the top 16 get money from War Chest this year?

This is a nice move by Blizzard. It brings some hype to the Korean scene and gives us the stellar Afreeca production with a real studio audience instead of the empty-studio-nasl-sound-guy-waiting-fest we're used to. I bet it even saves Blizzard money.
This also means that we will finally get a blizzcon where everyone is equally jetlagged. Way to achieve balance, guys.
As for the foreigners, since they have nothing else to do at the moment they can just fly in to Seoul early to get used to the time zone and enjoy the advantage of the superior practice environment.

If they get there too early they will accidentally teach the Korean Zergs how to play ZvZ, seems risky.
