Incontrol was a guy that made it 'cool' to love Starcraft. I'm gonna miss that guy.

From iNcontroL’s Twitter: To offer some solace in this time of grief: We've learned that Geoff passed quickly and painlessly from a blood clot in his lungs. He was with friends. He always urged and led us by example to take care of ourselves to the best of our ability. Remember to do that for him today.

While I enjoyed his Starcraft playing and casting, I really, really enjoyed his live D&D sessions. Absolute blast watching him nerd out with the rest of the RollPlay crew.

Geoff and I grew up within 10 miles of each other, and were the same age. We were both heavily involved in the SC1 community growing up, and crossed paths hundreds of times in different capacities from that. He was a part of my childhood and now he's gone. He was always a shining star of the community who included everyone, was always positive, and always gave his 100%. Every interaction I had with him, I left feeling good and happy. He was a people person who knew how to engage every single person, and he threw himself entirely into every event he was part of--whether he was a participant, a shoutcaster, an organizer, or merely a spectator. I'm honored to have known him, and I mourn his passing. I'm not ashamed to admit to having shed tears while driving home having heard of his passing, and there's nothing I can do to fully give him the send-off that he deserves. The world will be a little less bright without you, Geoff, and you will be sorely missed. My condolences to the friends and family who he left behind. Rest in peace Geoff. -HnR)Insane
