2 slots in total for China, Taiwan (and the other three), Latam and SEA/Oceania? Lol...

NA just doesn't have the depth for some reason.

Yeah, there are like 2 good players from those regions: Has and Special. It's just a rough sketch but the current distribution seems way off to me with all kinds of mediocre players making it through, while strong EU players aren't.

Grats to Neeb, kind of a stomp without Scarlett though :/ Hyped for Kiev still!

Don't forget Health Care Well, I don't mean any irony here. It IS easier being a progamer in Europe, probably even easier than in Korea at this point (for up and comers), cutting slots from other regions further removes the possible ventures for the players in those.

Fair play to JonSnow for making it to the finals, condolences on the loss but congratulations to Neeblet.

Take into account that most of series happen in Europe that player from other regions have difficulty joining offline qualifier.
Also there are more than two good players in these region: At least Kelazhur, Cham, TIME and NICE are not worse than most of disqualified EU players except Heromarine and Reynor.

How does that make him a hypocrite? Is he the one creating the rules for GSL tournaments except this one? Or did you refer to a previous statement by the user that would contradict his opinion about this Circuit? Anyway, different tournaments are different and people are allowed to have different opinions on different things without being hypocrites.
Although I don't see how it is unfair just because the EU has more top players. They can play the bracket.

Well, Special is no longer NA (region within region-wise) but Latin America (who have their own qualifiers), so my argument stands ... in the end it is only Neeb and (sometimes, if she doesn't prefer to play in Korea) Scarlett. Not a lot of top players to battle for four qualification places

No way i d flat out favor Neeb Scarlett and Special over the likes of Showtime Uthermal and Reynor. Maybe they d come out even, but defenitly not favored.

Depends on form and if they looked amazing in very recent games compared to the other guys. They could definitely be favored depending on the circumstances.

I tend to think looking at the top few players from each region to not be very informative. Be interesting to see how the thought experiment goes if we take the 9th-16th players instead of the 1st-8th and compare the relative strength.
Also I think it can't be understated this is just the direct entry into WCS Spring. Players who have sponsors or the means to attend the LAN still have a chance in the actual event iirc.

Neeb is a step above all players mentioned there. Second only to non-neeb opponent Serral.

They are definitely favored in my opinion. Especially since Neeb is by far the strongest player of that group and Showtime has fallen off a cliff recently.
