Pretty cool to see Blizzard already showing support like this. FYI for those who don't know the Community Managers that work in the WoW forums post/moderate the forum on a regular basis. Now the bnet forums shouldn't be such a mess anymore, and if the Blizz gods allow it we should also get some new tidbits here and there on SC2.

edit: In the announcement gameplay video the incoming nuke marker was shown as if launched by the player. To other players it will still be shown as a smaller dot very similar to the classic StarCraft nuke.

Why the facepalm? Is that what you want? A warcraft in space? Well just to quote Artanis, "this is not Warcraft in space, it is much more sophisticated." Just like it isn't. They should call starcraft 2...Cartoonycraft.

To me, it looks much more like the flying vehicle that appears in the artwork video at 1:47. Check it out and tell me wat you think.

for me in sure as HELL doesn't look like an add-on. I mean its like diagonally placed almost not touching the barracks (if at all). Are you kidding? Its clearly attached. On a sidenote, does anyone have this problem: Whenever someone links to a b.net thread on the sc forums it seems fine, but whenever I try to manually visit a thread from the general forums myself it gives me: The Battle.net Forums Are Currently Down Please try again later. BECAUSE OF THE WHINERS! Look how war3 turned out, there wasn't much whining (except the usual from NTT, Maynard, Tillerman, well we can't call that whining ...), and we got ourselves faceslapped, I for one will not let that happen again!

As some of you may have seen in the developer panel held at the Worldwide Invitational after the announcement of StarCraft II, it was revealed that the gameplay in the announcement video was shown at Normal speed so that we could really showcase it and let everyone see the detail and work put into the game. There will still be the faster game speed settings many players are used to from the original game. Key word there is "settings".

Youre logic: Whine = good game. Dont whine = bad game. However, youre whining for the sake of whining. What do you have to whine about? OMG GOOD GRAFIX. GAMPLAY IS RUINED.

Check it out and tell me wat you think. Perhaps add-ons in SC2 will have funkier placements, like diagonals rather then always being perpendicular to the right. Better yet, it would be cool if you can decide where to put the add-on, as long as it is adjacent to the main building itself.

Not for the sake of whining, the stuff I have seen about sc2, is not something to be excited about. The only thing why I am excited is because we get a starcraft 2, but the direction they are heading is something I am not happy about. This new approach is something that doesn't appeal to me... Cartoony graphics, bad voice acting, superweapons... and probably much more crap we can't even phantom yet. And about the guys who whined about war3, that was quite simple, they didn't like the random factor, upkeep, herocosts, baracks for altar and much more, a lot was changed because of them. But because war3 is so fundamentally flawed as an RTS it could never become a great RTS and just a fun game. IF A GAME IS FUNDAMENTALLY FLAWED AT IT'S CORE IT WILL NEVER BECOME A GREAT GAME. And my opinion at this very moment, starcraft 2 is already starting to limb.....and luckily it is still in it's alpha phase. So at this very moment you have to bitch about what you don't like because it can be changed rather easily....

Its the coolest 3d implemented in a rts to date (we don't want crysis graphics for sc2)...the only thing that needs changing is siege tank imo. bad voice acting? they didnt even start the voice acting yet...just some placeholders prolly...and they werent bad at all. supoerweapons? the only race with a "mothership" is protoss.and dont worry about the balance , the game is in good hands. The game IS going in a good direction...stop your useless whining...

Besides the mothership (which will probably have little effect on balance or overall game strategy as it is so late game), the other stuff you mentioned there does not mean the game will be fundamentally flawed.

So at this very moment you have to bitch about what you don't like because it can be changed rather easily.... Thank you for your well informed, well thought out and objective observations. "doesn't appeal to me" - very objective, therefore very convincing "superweapons" - brilliant use of plural "bad voice acting" - I would assume the memory of your work with James Earl Jones makes facing these amateurs at Blizzard a living hell "war3 is so fundamentally flawed as an RTS" - the second most popular RTS in the world is obviously fundamentally flawed, if it wasn't it would be no.1. so yes, excellent point "at this very moment you have to bitch about what you don't like" - bitching has done a lot of people a lot of good in the past, it's not obnoxious, useless, unconstructive, immature behavior at all. I mean, it's not like you have the option not to play the game if you don't like it. And as a bonus you get that rush of childish superiority you love so much. Ah, if only the world did revolve around you. Thank the RTS Gods we have you to point out these exciting and informative facts. Looking forward to more or your awesome posts.
