Normally, I would agree with you ... However, the Artosis curse is still strong

I believe Zest, Special and coinflip will advance form group A.
Maru, Dark and Trap form group B
Serral/Rogue and Gumiho from C. I think Gumis special terran style will overcome Serral, especially since Serral doesn't play on the korean ladder and probably has limited experience with Gumis style executed at the level that he does it.
TY, soO and then it will be really close between Scarlett and Dear!
Hoping soO, Maru or Serral win this whole thing =D

uthermal was the one that pioneered the new style of battle mech at HSC, and Serral was specifically asked about it during an interview. Gumiho will probably do something non-standard in any case, but if he goes for battle mech it won't be a surprise for the viewers or Serral.
Also I'd argue that regular mech is actually stronger than battle mech, just not as exciting to watch.

I imagine Serral had a good long talk with Reynor on Gumiho. Reynor just let it get out of hand, Serral won't make that mistake (i hope)

Battlemech is a surprise to no one that is true however Gumiho is actually playing like Gumigod right now. The level of play Gumi showed in his games vs Reynor were S+ class, never been much of a fan of his but I was in awe during those games.
I very much doubt Uthermal plays at the same level as Gumiho and I also think that its not only a question of normal mech, bio or battlemech play the question is also what is the build to get there. Serral might be surprised, if not by the build then by the execution. Maru has killed world class players with standard builds over and over, not because its a surprise in itself but because of how surprising the execution and macro behind it is.
Just genuinely impressed by Gumiho and hyped for his games!

serral does play on the korean ladder, and i doubt gumiho's gimmicks can keep up with serral's mechanics

If you say so.
I thought Gumiho was playing solidly but not spectacularly, and I'd be surprised to see Serral lose to him. Rogue and Inno have a much better chance of beating Serral imo, simply because Gumiho can't remotely match Serral's mechanics whereas guys like Rogue and Inno can at least keep up mechanically.
