Not only DreamHack Austin are right around the corner, but also DreamHack Tours! With that we would like to announce the qualifiers for DreamHack ZOWIE Open: Tours WCS Spring Championship where 32 players will compete for a $150,000 prize pool, and a cut of the 11,000 WCS Circuit points that is up for grabs.

National host qualifier :
National French Qualifier (2 spots) Sunday, 3rd of April
Sign up : French qualifier

Ladder qualifier :
Ladder cutoff Thursday, 7th of April
Ladder Playoffs Friday-Saturday, 8th-9th of April

Server qualifier:
NA Server Qualifier Friday-Sunday, 22nd-24th of April
EU Server Qualifier Friday-Sunday, 22nd-24th of April

Two for North America (USA and Canada)
One for Latin America
One for China

For France qualifier "Bo3 up until semifinals that is bo5", which Losers round does this apply to?

NA challenger tournament should be more hype this season since its before the server qualifiers. However, EU will have 5 already qualified via the top 8 standing and NA will have 3. Still, its better than like 12/16 already qualified...

Ugh the ladder qualifier had so many things wrong with it and they're just doing the same thing again...

Honestly I'm a bit confused because I didn't think they decided to use the ladder just for some variety. From what I understand, they consulted with some people in the community for ideas on how to raise the quality of practice for NA/EU players and making the ladder a part of WCS qualification was one of the solutions. And yet this is the implementation we get, which is purely just some variety on ways to qualify and has nothing to do with fixing the ladder or creating better practice environments.
