Starting from this page on, I will be moderating more harshly toward any mention of MarineKing's name. This thread has NOTHING to do with MarineKing. Do not talk about MarineKing even if you are defending him. Just don't do it. Please no match-fixing accusations on MarineKing or any other player if it has not officially been confirmed.

Remember that Iron Squid final from 2013 where Life played against DRG, lost first two or three games after playing like shit, went to bathroom and came back to crush the guy 4:3 like he was some super sayian? This is the first thing that came to my mind when Life was accused of matchfixing but I doubt it's actually true, I'd rather believe he ate a bag of aderall pills in that bathroom than threw the games against DRG on purpose

This has been really shitty year for SC2 thus far. Hopefully this will be sorted out fast. SC2 without Life will never be the same

Uh oh OK that's bad, the fact that such a player is charged with matchfixing is terrible even if it turns out he isn't condamned.
I hope KeSPA can seek and destroy every single player who ever matchfixed in SC2 in the following month, else SC2 will become the Pro Cycling of eSports and will die sooner than expected.

Oh, so why should I care? He wanted to earn money illegal way, he will get punished. Im just a casual starcraft fan and i dont get why you all are bitching so much. It looks like Life was the only reason the game still exists. Oh, he probably has some shares in Blizzard, doesnt he? My point is that Life is definitely one of the greatest players and I loved watching his games. It is a pity and I believe he had his reasons to do so (if he did). But I honestly dont get why people should stop playing starcraft. Explain please.

I hope that there will be still players left to play the game after that.
Or what if KeSPA is actually part of the scheme ? That would be funny.

Theres no reason why you should care but at the same time fuck off. There are people who really care about the SC2 scene and this is one of the most terrible things to happen to it.

It's always hard, when reality hits ya....

But: This is not the end of Starcraft 2 as an e-sport!
However sponsors will think twice whether they wanna support our favourite RTS or not, which means less money within the scene as a bitter result of this shenanigans...

edit: No pun intended

I was watching Life playing a Best of 69 series against a completely no name Protoss player who is a mid-Master in NA. Unbelievably, Life was losing 0-10, but was barely winning in the 11th game through really amazing Zergling/Overlord drop usage. I was thinking “WT* is going on?!?! Maybe we need to react much more quickly with a patch than we thought!” …. Then I woke up this morning and was so thankful that it was only a dream.

David's dream finally makes sense. Balance wasn't the reason

Well, some people follow starcraft as is it was soccer or something else. If your favorite player or even idol is gone, well
than you are sad and angry i guess.

It is still open, if he really did this shitty thing, so we have to be a bit more patient.
If it turns out to be true, that would be a massive fucking blow and i wouldn´t be surprised that matchfixing is a regular thing in korea, Life would be one of the last i would accuse of such a thing. Matchfixing is completely unaccebtable and against sportmanship. Hoping for the best here.

I want to believe that Life and others are basically innocent, and that this is the work of some overly zealous detective like in American Hustle. Some small town guy trying to force his name into the big leagues. And then they reveal his corrupt and forceful methods to set innocent players up, take him down, and everyone is free to go and Starcraft is clean.

Please let this fantasy come true.
