The reason he was arrested for has been made public.

I love this scene not only because of the high level performances, but of their passion; I`ve been following this scene when it was openly called "nerds` show" by media. And they - players - did their best to prove themselves, showing true sense of professionalism. Before Boxer, people would have laughed at a person if he cried for his lost over computer games.
This scene is built on a tremendous strives; it took almost 10 years to be recognised. And we`re having corrupted guys who decimates this precious value. If this issue is not solved and you think it is OK, I think we just lost one of the core values of esports.

No, the charges are confirmed. He has not been convicted of anything.

It was 99% confirmed, since it was the office that busted Prime and specialises in match-fixing. There is no reason for them to drive 400km to arrest Life, if he did something stupid while being drunk, then the local police would've arrested him.
But now it's 100% confirmed.

i dont' want it to be true but i imagine they have some pretty incriminating evidence to be arresting him. why, Life.. why?
|
Poor Afreeca Freecs... they just got him over Leenock. Why is he arrested only now? It's been month the other got caught, did kt had him covered or anything? That would be even more more dramatic, very unlikely, and at the same time not surprising at all.

you're supposed to bring balance to the game, not leave it in darkness

omfg. Life is one of my favourite players..... Holy shit I can't believe this

Having just recently started watching some SC2 again, this is some very very disappointing news. Assuming he's guilty, I guess the best would just be if the scene could somehow move on and not be too affected by it, but I think thats unlikely when something this major occurs.

Yeah, is it known when he supposedly received money for match-fixing? Also can somebody tell us if Korean age or the "normal/global" age counts in Korea for these things? Basically, is Korean age the legal age in Korea? I feel embarassed asking this lol.
Wiki says that age of majority in Korea is 19 (idk about "global" or "asian" years). Life turned 19 about three weeks ago, so it seems likely to me that they arrested him now because of that.

So why is everyone assuming he's guilty? He's been charged, not convicted
Maybe not measure the noose before the hammer's been dropped

Maybe life betted on others games and not himself? Or maybe he has a terrible gamble addiction and he needed that money because all of his money is already gone?
Hmm, new account with one post? Checks out.
