Took the second base, massed more Void Rays, and then roflstomped to the end of the map. I'm struggling to find a reason to build anything other than Void Rays once you get access to them... There is none. This works through the entire campagin ![]() machine healing, time freeze, supercharged shields and that disruption field thing

I didn't make any void rays, because I had just beaten the last mission with a giant fleet of only 36 void rays and I was sick of them at that point.

After the hard time I had beating it on Brutal, I've been put off from trying the mastery, especially with constant back-door attacks forcing your army back, but I'm sure that it is much easier on Hard and there is an easy way to do it. I saw someone post a screenshot that they beat this mission on Brutal in just over 8 minutes so I guess I can wait for that video to emerge and repeat, but on hard, and never get pushed back. Just curious how much of a pain it is. Dark Archons make it very easy because you can just take all their good units.

Just curious how much of a pain it is. It's pretty straightforward. Ignore the sidequests and constantly stay with Alarak, produce Voids (normal ones) off one stargate while supporting them with Sentinels, Stalkers (some Shadow Fury DTs help too) and Dark Archons (use them to take over Immos, Collossi and air units). Attacks are merely a problem as you can lure the first attack to your army with a stalker. Afterwards the attacks only killed my reinforcement pylons so keep a probe with your army. Also if you enter the bases or reinforced positions of the Tal'Darim use Solar Lance, Timestop etc to supplement your forces. Was one of the easier mastery achievements imo.

As long as you keep the deathball together and don't yolo it into the defenses as you push Alarak forward it isn't that hard.

You can actually just park a large group of units that won't die to anything he sends behind Alarak and take your sweet ass time with it.
