Hey guys, we all know that the TL writers love to do Power Rankings even though there are always arguments afterwards, what was wrong about it and why Taeja is simply on the list cause of the so called "liquid bias" We as a community simply know it so much better, right? + Show Spoiler +

Well i think it is time to finally prove it and make our own Power Ranking!!
So how would it work? It's pretty simple, just post your top 10 in this thread. I will go through every post and add the points up. The point distribution will be like that:
1. place = 10 points 2. place = 9 points 3. place = 8 points etc.
This is purely for fun and you cannot win anything, meh. I think two weeks should be enough for anyone who is interested in it to participate, let's make our own Power Ranking, gogo!
PS: I will only count posts which have a top 10 list, obviously only one ranking per poster. You can also discuss it here in this thread (not that it wouldn't happen anyway, haha)
edit: Cause people keep asking, this PR should consist of the current top 10 players, it isn't intended as a goat list
edit2: If you wanna change your ranking, just edit your initial post, i will only count posts which were made till the 10.6.2015 though!
Please do not dispute, these are my personal favourite
1. Flash - I love his passion & attitude. He will overcome his weakness. 2. Maru - His micro so good, game always entertain 3. Life - KT team , Reliable player . Consistent 4. ForGG - Ex KT player, always stream, Stream always funny and entertain . Talk english 5. TY Baby - His multitask is so fun to watch, but only if the game goes his way . . . that he can multitask and overwhelm 6. Stats - Very Reliable and from KT since very beggining 7. Jaedong - Used to hate him , because Flash rival, but now hope him and Flash become top best player. 8. Fantasy - Crown prince, used to be SKT ace? Hope he win championship 9. Nestea - Keke, Ex KT Coach? No , that time I support BoxeR and watch SC2, but he win BoxeR 3-0 and strong player. 10. MvP - Heard many stories of him , but only watch him play once in 2013 VS innovation.
I dont really like protoss, their Immortal might be the reason there is no factory units TvP. Collosus eat infantry so easy . Zealot with charge also eat terran army. Sad Terran always see tier 1 unit play.

A Power Rank isn´t necessarily depicting who wins a head-to-head. It´s more about who´s better overall.

I expect dolli to do less because z and lichter have more time on their hands (or less, for the dolphin man). still, templar also warrants a higher spot because he left his dirty ways and contributed a lot. without his passion, we'd be sad.

I was debating between Zest and Inno for 10th spot but Zest since he lost to a teamkill in RO8 SSL.
I kind of want to put Stats in the top 3 just based on form since it is a power ranking but the other players made it further in the two leagues and actually have recent titles/finals appearances. Maybe I can boost him up because of his killer SPL form.
In any case what a great time for SC2 to have such a crazy top 10. I feel like it drops off very slightly after the top 6 who could be shuffled around a bit based on the coming weeks.

Oh, of course. I'm just saying it as a cliff-note. It makes him a lot tougher to grade because his form is harder to assess. His solo league results haven't been as strong as Life or Maru and are probably on the level of Dream [Presuming he makes GSL finals]. Still, you can pretty much put him as 2/3/4 with life and dream - they're more or less interchangeable depending on what you value.
Slight update from my initial ranking. The outcome of tonight's GSL group changes nothing so things should be set.
Maru still #1 as he's done well in both Korean leagues, won an SSL earlier this year, and is still going strong in SPL. Dream takes the #2 spot as he's also done well in everything inside Korea and recently took a mega-dinosaur dump on herO to reach a 2nd consecutive SSL final.
Life edges out PartinG for having more prestigious wins this year when times are harder for his race. They've both had comparable results this past season.
herO maintains top 5 even though his most recent play looks highly suspect. You just can't glance over his consistency and his dominant Kespa Cup victory despite a recent slump that could easily turn around.
ByuL seems to universally be well-placed at #6. He played like crap against Classic, but has also made ro8+ in both Korean leagues, did well in Kespa Cup, and currently competes for the top spot in SPL as potentially the new ace of CJ. Can't quite give him top 5, but he definitely doesn't deserve anything lower than 6th.
Stats has the best win rate in SPL and is on his 2nd consecutive semifinal appearance in SSL. However, he's also on the 2nd season in a row of not qualifying for GSL unlike the 6 people ranked above him. He kinda got owned in Kespa Cup as well.
Rogue is killing it in SPL, had dual ro8 appearances in the previous season and is currently in the ro8 of GSL. He really shit the bed in the recent Kespa Cup and SSL though.
edit: actually screw Classic, Dark is more deserving of the 10th spot. :p

Guys i didn't forget about this, i wanted to to this at the weekend (like i posted) but RL was in the way. Expect results in the next 24 hours! I hope next time we will get more people to participate though, the more the better the end results (i won't do this monthly though, maybe every 2-3 months is a better idea; i simply feel we need that time to have a good idea about players)

I think instead of making another thread it would be fine to just edit the OP of this one with the results. You can just say where the cutoff for the polling was.

Maybe you could make a PR once a month, with voting open only the last few days of each month. That way everyone has the same time window to observe for results. Although voting open so few days means you will have less participation.

That's actually not a bad idea, but i think one month is just not enough time to value players very well tbh. Every two months seems imo more reasonable
Though it has some kinks and bumps, this is surprisingly still 1000 times more reasonable than most of the power ranks ever generated by the TL writers

Well most lists were made before GSL and SSL had their playoffs. If we would do the same today, i am sure they would be higher. I think the next time i will only give people a few days to make that list, hopefully we still get at least around 100 then

Possible, but both finals are really tough to predict ; teamkills are just too volatile, and ByuL won't certainly have a free win against either a rock solid Rain or an on fire Curious.

My opinion would be vote during the first week of Aug to determine the July PR. This initial one is June obviously. The 2nd one after that can be a big one, including determined Proleague, WCS, GSL and SSL winners.
