Must be such a surreal experience to listen to a radio station and suddenly hearing Huk in the car :D

I feel like they edited out some of my better parts talking about Esports in general and business side of it; also what the future might hold/look like in my eyes. Some other parts too where I mentioned I'm actually decently athletic and played sports my whole life (also was a good sprinter that broke 4x100 relay record in HS). But overall think they still represented me well and kept in some good parts. Glad you enjoyed it and stayed in your car just to listen. yeah with live radio or TV they time limited air time so they can't always put up 100% of the interviews. but I wished they could have put up your entire interview on the pod cast on their website like they've done with other interviews.

One thing we still have over other game is that when large mainstream publications try to talk about esports, it seems like they still go for our athletes first.

Here are things they have already been shown on ESPN: Poker Bowling Cup Stacking Spelling Bees Darts Curling Classic Car Auctions Scrabble Competitions Speed Pool Slow pitch softball Competitive Cheerleading Bass Fishing And a whole host of crappy less than professional leagues of various traditional sports, such as women's stuff, kid's, high school, college, etc.. Not saying women's sports or whatever isn't a market and they aren't good, but they are simply not as physically capable as the professional men's sports and it's pretty crappy to watch lesser players play a game. It's like watching platinum/gold youtube videos instead of GSL. If they were smart, they would try out a small network following korea's model and just show various popular esports. The numbers are there, they would be dumb not to see the money there. Also the point the 2nd guy tries to make about needing the games to be easier to understand or whatever is dumb. NFL or MLB as examples have very complex rule systems and I guarantee you that half the people who watch don't know most the rules and we still have nearly national level holiday events like the SuperBowl. SC2 or MOBA games are pretty easy to understand as a concept. Kill the other player(s) or make them quit. Figuring out all the other fine details is just for the hardcore fans. His other point about women is ridiculous as well. Traditional sports, as I mentioned already, are more male dominated and people care more about the male leagues than the female because the females are not as good and females tend to not care about sports more in a general sense, because they are not as capable. Which is further the proof that esports actually has some biological component to it which makes professional players better than others. And 9 out of 10 pros are males. (BW used to have women's league, they were pretty shit players (by comparison) and they practiced just the same as the males afaik). That being said, who gives a fuck. Huk and the other guys are right, the ambivalence is real and we do our own thing. We don't need ESPN or TV to validate us.
