#0fuck0buck for you GSL People were spamming “༼ ᕤºل͟º ༽ᕤ MEDIUM OR RIOT ༼ ᕤºل͟º ༽ᕤ” in chat so they put it in subscriber only mode then the gsl channel typed “totally owned” in chat. This is very unprofessional of them.

With the tons of memes they create on a daily basis they could be a twitch-goldmine. Instead of filling up time with random chatter they could interact with the twitch chat - by reading out donation message of 2 dollars and above like Forsen does. ![]() If they don't step the fuck up, I think they won't have a secure job for much longer, Which would really suck ![]() It's a tournament, not their personal stream. It also is not their job to handle the business side of things. They are casters, hired to cast games. I also wouldn't call "reading out donation message of 2 dollars" and reading twitch chat the business side of things. This is an issue with GOM; Artosis and Tasteless have nothing to do with it.

Almost every other esport, and pretty much every tournament in SC2 has free HQ for the most part. There's a couple of exceptions, but their lowest quality is medium, which is still much better than low. Is this going to actually make gom more money? Or is it just going to turn people off the product? The current esports business model revolves around attracting as many viewers as possible and giving them incentives to pay for things sometimes are actually not the stream/video content itself, Valve's Dota 2 is currently the pinnacle of this model. In the streaming business this reflects as subscriber benefits and donations, which also relies on massive numbers of viewer base to begin with, see what GOM is doing? They are doing exactly the opposite by giving its viewers unpleasant experience, and charge for what is widely considered as baseline free service, it doesn't help either that its competitions offer better service and similarily good content for way less or even free as well.

Gom must have serious problems, the last stream there had maybe a ration of 1 green thumbs to 3 red thumbs. On Kr_Stream. Normally on Youtube you have 90 green to 10 red or better.

Now I'm extremely disappointed with how gsl is doing things.

I support SC2 by playing it..advertising it on other forums and games...I sub when I choose to and not when a company tries to cannive me into it. Hell I even try and get all my friends into sc2...GSL aint getting any recommendations until this is changed.

The fact that nobody in the community with clout besides TB is speaking up is atrocious. Sad state this game is in right now. Ya thank goodness TB is making some noise about this. Have not heard squat from any other casters...Some Team Liquid people have been vocal though..Which is GREAT!~~

Bit drunk so I'm going to be blunt, I respect your opinion. This is the same exact thing GOM did pre-WCS. WCS spoiled us but also hurt GOM's income. You still get to watch GOM, and it really is not that bad quality. Worst thing is sometimes you squint to see supply numbers. I think people are heavily overreacting to a business that clearly cares for SC2 esports in regards to a business decision by them.

Honestly, the biggest problem of that decision of that it puts a barrier to entry to the best SC2 play for people that are not sc2 fans to begin with. If someone come and ask where can he watch the best starcraft, and you telel him it's this shitty blurry stream unless he pays 15 bucks, when all the others games provide free HD, they're not going to hesitate long what to watch and support ...
