I think that you're underestimating the extent to which the community really cares about StarCraft. Chill mentioned it once back in ~2010 in TLOwnage where "Blizzard could change the colour of the Maurader's Boots and we'd argue about it for ages." It's the third part of a long-awaited sequel to what I presume is the childhood of a lot of the users here.
A new unit would have to be super hype, but I think that this more or less confirms LotV instead, given the length of the clip.

Sounds like a zerg unit's voice I'd say. Then a rather hitech missile sound, not exactly what I'd expect from a zerg missile, after which it explodes and makes this baneling explosion like sound, especially at the very end.
I'd say it's either a zerg artillery unit, or it's a LotV cinematic with a terran unit targeting and destroying a zerg unit.

Going with baneling launcher purely from the acid sound. That's ridiculous that it would be several units in one, imagine the debriefing from Blizzard on that "great job guys, you guessed them all, it was a new unknown zerg unit roaring and doing nothing else notable, then the new reaver scarab launch sound and a marauder farting, excellent work cadets" Campaign sound is also bizarre, there is absolutely nothing to hype about campaign sounds.

Opening Ceremony, they've showmatches of StarCraft scheduled, it would make no sense to have shomatches while there are the world finals at the same time. Probably they will have showmatches with the players into the finals to showcase the new units (or at least I hope, I don't want to see David Kim destroying Blizzard's employees again)

I think that sound is from campaign unit from LOTV. Which means we will see/hear LOTV announcment in da Blizzcon.

I had the idea of somehow making it so that the swarm host can't stay burrowed in the same area for a long period of time. Would force a bit more mobility and thought when using them. Perhaps make it so that after say 3 rounds they can't make locust in that spot anymore for 5 minutes. Would help.

But forcing more mobility is definetely the way to go. I think the good thing with SHs is that they favor fighting all over the map instead of deathball vs deathball, and positionnal play. This could be emphasized by the SH having less range, a quicker burrow/unburrow and move speed, and perhaps manual locust firing (locusts being stronger to compensate)

That would be a good way too. After 5 rounds the spawns become so slow you have to move them. I like it.
