How do you feel about winning the GSL championship?
I am glad that I was able to win a championship after not having done so in a while. I was feeling uneasy because I started off with a disadvantage early on but I am glad that I was able to make a comeback.
You lost games one and two too easily to roach/bane/ling all-ins. How come?
I underestimated roach/bane/ling all-ins. In the case of game one, I didn’t respond well even though I knew what soO was intending to do so I ended up losing.
Towards the middle of the series, your two rax strategies shone through. How did you prepare for those?
Since I ended up losing games one and two, my overall scenario that I had painted in my head got screwed up. That’s why I ended up using it twice at the intention of bringing back the atmosphere into my favor.
Were you flustered during your game on Foxtrot Labs because of the early spawning pool?
When I saw that he didn’t have a hatchery at his natural, I figured I that I could end up losing. But soO hyung’s response was not as good as I expected it to be so I was able to win.
Around when did you anticipate your championship victory?
Game seven was going to take place on Overgrowth but that is a good map for Zergs. So I told myself that I had to win before then but that moment where I knew I had it won never came. Although I did get the thought that I had to end things no matter what on Deadwing.
What were you thinking as soon as you won the championship?
I just keep getting the feeling that I dodged a bullet (laughs).
With your championship victory you now have 3225 points and are placed at 15th in the WCS rankings. You now have quite a high chance to make it into the WCS Global Finals.
There’s still Hot6 Cup and DreamHack Winter left. Even if my participation in the WCS Global Finals gets taken away, I won’t really be concerned about it.
Overall, how did you practice for the finals?
I practiced with my teammates by focusing on certain aspects of the game. I was able to practice with only Dark but he worked so hard in helping me with practice that I was able to win the championship. I am grateful.
The championship prize money is $70,000. How do you plan on using your prize money?
On the inside I want to buy a car, but I plan on just saving up (laughs). I also want to give each of my little brothers a gift.
Anything else you would like to say?
Throughout all this time, a lot of my fans really wished for me to make it back to the top. I want to thank those fans for believing in me until the end. I will work hard so that I can become the kind of player who can keep his place at the top. Lastly, I want to thank my fans and my family members for coming to the finals location.

He got upgraded with feelings v0.5. Awesome games by Inno btw, I don't understand why he mentionned dreamhack winter and Hot6 cup for WCS ranking , isn't those events supposed to happen after Blizzcon?

I'm not sure how I should perceive this. Many will want to be in the Blizzcon.

I don't think he is rsaying that he can get more points from those events, he is staying even if he doesn't make it to Blizcon then he still has two tournaments to compete in.

It seems he is virtually qualified for blizzcon anyway.

Inno is in global finals no matter what. Kind of funny that he himself doesn't know that.

Maybe this interview was before WCS EU, or did that have no influence anymore? Anyway, thanks for the interview translation Seeker!

WCS EU hadn't been finished yet when the interview was done presumably, so he wasn't locked in until then.

That wasn't the case before WCS EU this weekend. The interview is probably from before that
thanks Seeker! Grats to Innovation! Must feel really great after considering his last GSL loss was when he was reverse sweeped by SK lol. Poor soO though, must be rough to be a kong for so long >.> Guess MKP passed the torch to him XD

Where are all the "only hatchpool can hold 2rax" people?
In what world was that ever true? Hatch -> pool is like literally the only way to lose to 2rax (unless you're soO in the finals of a major tournament, apparently).

tons of people told me hatch first is the best defensive build vs 2rax... (in the LR thread)
I am wondering why it is called "2014 GSL Season 3 Grand Finals" and not "2014 GSL Season 3 Finals" not like there were other Finals in 2014 GSL Season 3?

I think they probably meant that it's hold-able with hatch first, and hatch first leaves you in a better position coming out of it? Idk
