SKT_soO passed a momentous milestone in the GSL, becoming the first player ever to reach three consecutive finals. With a 4-1 victory over JinAir_TRUE in the semifinals, soO confirmed a spot in the grand finals against teammate Classic. It will be soO's third final against a Protoss player, having lost to Dear and Zest in previous seasons.
Not surprisingly, the series played out mostly as a roach war. The 1-4 scoreline was somewhat unfair to TRUE, who looked to be on even footing with soO for much of the series. TRUE seemed to be even stronger than soO in the mid-game phases, accumulating big army and bank leads on several occasions. However, TRUE was just unable to defeat soO in the crucial late game battles, not even with several mass spore cancels to inflate his roach count.
The Code S finals between Classic and soO will be held on June 28th from GomTV's studio. The event marks the first SKT team-kill in a major Korean finals since Boxer and iloveoov faced off in the EVER2004 OSL.
Undoubtedly impressive by soO. I get the feeling he will remain undervalued even if he wins this finals. If he loses a third time, I wonder if he will be able to bounce back again.
I wouldn't put too much weight on aligulac for koreans. Here's a random sample of players who are ranked above soO: MMA, jjkji, KingKong, Parting, Polt, Rain, SoulKey, MC, VortiX, Scarlett, Jaedong, Snute, Stardust, MVP, Bomber, sOs, San;

Hard to disappear into nowhere, when you're top-3 Proleague Protoss for 1,5 years already. And Dear has everything to return, i hope at least.
WELL. But soO will win this time, sorry, Classic. ;_;
I think aligulac underrates soO heavily. Teamkills are always hard to predict, but soO is definitely the best Zerg in the world and will come to the finals with unbelievable hunger after two lost finals in a row. Classic will need to pull off his A-style if he wants to stand a chance.

Aligulac is not THAT accurate. Check this for example http://aligulac.com/players/365-KingKong/ . This guy farmed relatively "bad" players and got very high in elo.. now.. is he better than maru, soo, roro etc?
soO making it to the finals yet again. How many want to bet that he'll lost again XD Given, guy's a beast to constantly make it to the finals three times in a row. Classic though, I expect him to win this just due to the amount of confidence and how much he wants to win. Best of luck to both!

Don't think Soulkey really should count since he was in Woonjin, but still 4 is crazy
