lol, so it is JD fault for Flash taking the 'safe' route by getting good salary from KT while not being sent to foreign events and doing poorly in KR individual leagues?
If Flash had 'balls', he would demand that KT send him to foreign events.

However, this article makes me happy!
Flash's slump has less to do with the state of Terran (although I'm not denying that it has nothing to do with it) and more to do with the fact that even as compared to other Terrans, Flash is really struggling right now
He's trying to find his identity I think, Flash is really stubborn some times and will play one strategy forever even if he gets hard countered by other playstyles or if it doesn't suit him.
So basically you are saying he is bad unless the meta suits him...

He was sent to 2 foreign events since september and he tried to qualify for 2 more (IEMs). I think we will see Flash in foreign events this year too, the problem is he is not good enough to do well.
On February 04 2014 13:04 NeXSC2 wrote: How about JD participates in proleague just like LiquidHero. Right?
Not that easy, TL have an agreement with IM so that HerO can play in Proleague, don't think EG has any agreements with Korean teams so if JD want's to play in Proleague, EG needs to find a team for him.
Why would he want to play in PL? Sorry to all the hardcore BW guys, but PL just isn't what it was in SC2 compare to BW. It isn't the be all and end all. I am not saying that PL isn't significant. But it isn't THE tournament anymore. So maybe KT needs to be like CJ and send their players to foreign events. Or maybe Flash can actually win one of the qualifiers.
It is funny that people are claiming that JD is taking the easy way when Flash is taking the financially easily way by stay on KT and not demanding them to send him to foreign events.
This is the same as when people claim the ex-BW pros like Mvp, MC were taking the 'easy' way by winning in SC2 when they couldn't make it in BW. In fact, it was the BW pros that took the 'safer' way with their regular salary compare to korean SC2 pros which were not given salary. So in fact, it was the Flash, JD, BIsu of the world that didn't have any 'balls' and just wanted their high salaries.
So no, Flash doesn't have 'balls' because he is staying in KR. He HAS to stay in KR because his team sponsors (KT Rolster) gains the most from him staying in KR. KT Rolster doesn't need a foreign market because they are a domestic telecom company.

They could have sent to him to open bracket at San Paulo, or do you think trot is better than Flash?

I don't say they could not, fact is they don't and we don't know why exactly. It is weird to say flash should demand it, i don't think that is how it works.
Your statement that the BW pros didn't have the balls to switch to sc2 makes very little sense, i mean there has to be some motiviation to do so, and "having balls" is surely not one of them.

Yeah I think so too. Plus given the general metagame, there is always that one matchup every Terran looks crap at, except maybe Maru. That doesn't help your overall skill perception.

I understand that that, but players making the same comments about JD playing in PL/KR is just as ridiculous given that he is on EG. What is JD's motivation? PL is no longer 'THE' league in SC2.
I was responding to the OP about JD having to grow balls to play in KR... Then Flash should grow some as well. If he cant do well enough in KR for him to qualify for Blizzcon, maybe he needs to do something different instead of staying in his comfort zone (PL).

Yes, they seem to be on a similar level in sc2, but this is e-sports where if you are slightly better than an opponent you are deemed to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

Last time I checked, going to AM and getting a good salary from EG while not being sent to Korean tournaments is the safe route, I really don't understand what you are talking about. Are you trying to say that Foreign events are harder than GSL?

Shame on players trying to establish their own play style right, Flash is so bad trying to get Mech to work for him in TvZ.

Fanboyism aside, there is no debate as to JD having the safer route...
if this match took place in proleague, flash > jaedong for sure, some of his proleague games have been out of this world, JD hasnt played a terran of flashed caliber in a long time
